I didn't see another thread on this, so I'm hoping I'm not making a repeat thread.
I was wondering, has anyone done anything where they melded their aura's with their energy like their totem animal. Or has anyone done any sort of totem animal magic in general?

Well. The one time this has happened was when i had a guardian spirit attach to me. Or my 'aura' if you will. He's still here, somewhere.. I sometimes feel his limbs, and for a bit there I thought it was me. But it was only him, and he was just strong in energy. Good thing I waited it out before I for surely claimed it was me, though. XD
He's a dragon, named Namebek (nambeck). Fun stories with him. He actually had been "gone" for a while there, and he's making some appearences in dreams again. So thats good.

I will more than likely get trounced on for this but ...
Totems are NOT just some animal you feel an affinity for. Nor are they simple "spirit guides". Totems are a strictly Native American thing. In fact, a strictly Pacific Northwest Native American thing. In simplest terms, Totems are guardians and guides, but apply ONLY to the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest, and they're not all animals. Each tribe has a Totem, as does each family, and each individual. On top of this are the Ancestors.
If you are not a Native American, then you do not have a Totem. Animal spirit guide, sure. But not Totem.

No, you won't get "trounced" upon. I was using the term "totem" because it's the closest thing to what I'm talking about. And I understand the Native American aspect. I already know the ones in my ancestry didn't have totems. But the word "totem" serves the purpose best. I use the term totem meaning something with which the person in question feels they are most like, or what they feel is within them. It's a lot more than that though. The term totem means a lot of different things though.

Naw, you didn't make any repeated thread.
Well, I haven't tried melded my aura's with their energies, but I beleive it is similar when you borrow their energies to do rituals work.
