emo So where I live, the age of consent is 16. I am 16. I have this friend, we have made out a few times. I have also given him a handjob. Right now I am not looking to have a boyfriend as I am in college and I am on team so i am quite busy, but i would love to have sex, with him... In the long term is that a regreatable decision? or does it not matter once I know where he stands?

It's up to you. It all depends. None of us can tell you how you will feel after. I have done the friends with benefits thing and enjoyed it very much. Other people have done it with a great amount of regret after. You can't see into the furture, so you won't know for sure how you will react after. All you can do is try to imagine if you think you might regret it. That's tough to do even in a traditional relationship, however. One never knows if the person will leave, or cheat, or anything else. So sex is always a gamble in that aspect. I look at it this way, will I regret it if things fall apart right after? Will I regret it if we don't stay friends? I ask myself those kinds of questions. If I feel comfortable with what I am doing no matter how it turns out, then I go for it.
I should add that these "should I?" questions come up a lot around here. I usually tell people that if you have to ask our opinions, it suggests to me that you have some doubt about the situation, which means you might not be ready. Keep that in mind when deciding.

Personally, I could not see myself doing that at all but if you're really up for it, go ahead (I do say this rather hesistatingly, however, because this could definitely end in lots of awkward/sticky situations). Really make sure to think about it first. You want to see if he's receptive to the idea but you decide on it.... ninja
But if you don't feel like you need any type of commitment attached to sex (some people do, some people don't), then you probably won't regret it too much. Just make sure to stock up on the protection.

You don't want a boyfriend and you have other commitments (such as college) that could suffer if something goes wrong (such as a pregnancy).
Why do you want to have sex? Why is losing your virginity so important that you don't care who it's with and seem to just want to get it over with?

I think that if u r looking for some1 to have sex with because u r having a need for sex then i think that a friend would be best to lose ur virginity with. u can feel more comfortable around him... just make sure that u would be abe to comfortable with him the next day as well...

Depends on you..
I myself wouldn't, because I know I'd regret it.
But you seem to like that kind of thing so, do what you'd like/you feel is best.
