I posted this in LI also, but no one responded so I thought I'd post here... I want to know what other people think...
There's this guy, who I really, really liked a long time ago. Three years ago, I was obsessed, pathetic really, but he was the guy I was infatuated with at the time. Anyways, most of the time he was pretty much an a** to me and I was just obsessed with him and whatever. So, after the school year I like him, he moved a couple hours away. Well, over the next couple years he'd call me randomly, nothing special. But over the summer he called several times and stayed in town all summer. He said he wanted to see me, you know hang out as friends, but we never really got around to it and I forgot about him again. So, six months later, December, Friday night. He called me, and said come outside, and there he was. [in the truck he'd been talking about getting for years...] We talked, he came in, and he left... and guess who's fallen for him again? He said to call him. It took me 3 days, but I called him. The next day he came to my best friend's house to see me. And I'm feeling great. Today, I wanted to see him again, so I called him and he was busy and now he's leaving tomarrow. I don't think I'm gonna see him again for a long time, if ever.
Basicly, he was very different from what he was, and somehow I felt like maybe something could happen between us but now I lost the feeling and I have to get over him again.
So tell me, what do you think he meant by all this?
And, what should I do to feel a little better...? rolleyes

It's hard to say without actually having witnessed this, but I think he could be sincere, maybe not.
You have to talk to him and find out either way. Ask him if he would be willing to come and visit you some other time in the future. If he says no, he was f***ing you around. If yes, then follow your heart and go for it if it feels right!
As for feeling better...listen to your favourite music, read a book, do something to take your mind off him. That's really all you can do until the situation is sorted out and you know what's going on.

I guess that would make the most sense, but I can't really ask him that would be so awkward it's not even funny. He would just make a crack at me being in love with him if I mentioned anything like that. Damn him for remembering the me 3 freakin years ago.
I'll try, kinda hard though. neutral I need to just get myself busy doing something which isn't so easy.
Thanks though. 3nodding

It's easy to revert back to familiar times. While he may seem different, I'm confident that he's still the same person underneath. Did he explain why he called you up out of the blue?
In any event, I would proceed with caution, and your probably right that you're best course is to occupy yourself so you'll forget him again.

He seemed kind of the same but in a much nicer way. He didn't explain anything. I just figured he wanted to call because he was in town? And he had just registered his camo truck that he'd wanted for like forever and wanted me to see it? I don't know...
I guess I should. It's been like another week, and I havn't heard from him so I really don't think I will...

sounds like you're not in love with him. Sounds like you're in love with the idea of him.
It happens more often than you'd think it would. I think it's also related to how impressionable a person is at a certain point in time.

I relaly think you shold block him out of your life, he's not gonna be around, and you don't want to fall for someone you can't see. Anyway, it would serve him right for being an a** to you.
