By far the best book about a book lover, EVER! A lot of people know the Read or Die: ~Manga and OVA following Yomiko Readman ~ Read or Dream maga and TV following the Paper Sisters.
But those are all spinoffs of the R.O.D novel series! an actual novel series! unfortunately, they aren't translated or available in North America yet.

Oh, that's just not fair... crying We should petition Viz to license the novel series. Novels of manga series are becoming quite popular after all.
I just finished reading the third volume of the R.O.D. manga. I think my favorite character is Ridley at the moment.

That'd be great!~+^.^+ Just as long as they're leatherbound *drools*
And yeah, Ridley's pretty cool, but my overall favourite is Yomiko, because as soon as I saw her in the OVA, I recognized so many of my own behavioral patterns and things I'd love to be able to do (i.e. buy out entire stores and live in jinbo-cho)
And for anyone who's knows the Paper Sisters, my favourite is Maggie, she's so sweet and a stoic-type (my fave) and once again, similar behavioral patterns

One of my best friends claims that Yomiko is the anime version of me.

Ooh, I can't believe I didn't know about the novels. It's likely that they will be translated in the next few years, as the OVA aired on American television quite a few times and Japanese novels are becoming increasingly popular amongst fans of anime and manga. If I knew of an effective way to petition a translating/publishing company, I certainly would.
