In this thread, I would like to know what is in your mind and the ideas that you may have.

I am allowing you to post any suggestions or comments you may have in order to improve this guild. You may also suggests lessons or topics that we may have.

I would also like to know people whom I can invite to this guild. Currently, most of the invitations made were chosen by me and selected according to how much I have seen you contribute to other guilds.

At some point, I will also choose members to become a crew.

umm...Well, I guess a random suggestion would be to have threads for debate topics or something. No offense, while your information is quite fascinating, most people won't or can't just post random information on a topic, even one that they know a lot about. So...I guess just something to get people to participate more?

Thank you for the invite, by the way. sweatdrop

Actually, you can already start a debate. The main forum and subforums are not strictly for lessons or information because I am actually expecting some discussions there, but apparently, I cannot think of a topic to start from. The subforums are simply categorized into subjects so that I don't get to mix up the discussions (for example confusing math discussions with philosophy discussions). If you have a topic in mind, you can start a thread.

Thanks for the suggestion. You may start posting anything you want.

I'd have to agree with DarkPhoenix. I think a mix of the two would be good; have some threads for pure information and some for discussions and debates.

I also want to get a good mix of informational threads and discussion threads, but this also depends on how many people are starting a discussion thread and what interesting discussion topic I can think of.

I would recommend, in the social sciences division, making the "Historical Documents" thread into a listing of links rather than a repository for physical works.

Basically here would be a model of what would be a better arrangment than posting documents in whole.

US Government

Declaration of Independence
http:/www.whathaveyou

The Articles of Confederation
;;

The Constitution of the United States of America
;;

The Federalist Papers
;;

The Anti-Federalist Papers
;;

Understanding the foundations of the US Government

John Locke Xx
;;

Montesqui ;;
;;

JJ Rouseau ;;;
;;

I think this kind of an arrangment will promote organization and keep the thread to posting recommendations for new sections and requests for new additions.

I find this a good idea. When I first started that thread, I actually don't have any organization in my mind because I was just thinking of random documents such Declaration of Independence, Magna Carta and Communist Manifesto. But now that you give me an idea how to organize it, I would take it into consideration. I prefer to have those documents copies in the posts rather than links to save the trouble of going through a number of links (which may someday become a dead link). However, there are long documents that I would rather link than copy to avoid page stretching.
