Ugh, could anyone critique me on this face please? Its still in progress, by the way, and its part of a bigger image based on my current SasuSaku fandom, so I need it to look as best as it possibly can. No matter how I look at it, it still looks "eeky" and I am not satisfied. I am such a perfectionist, and I really want it to look right. I'll post the finished image in the Fanart section when its done. 1. Is her mouth too low down in comparison to her eyes? 2. Are her eyes too big, or not big enough, given that she's crying?3 3. Since you cant see the face, does it look too narrow or too fat (redlining would be appreciated) 4. Any critique for her eyebrows? Too thick? Not thick enough? In the wrong place completely? 5. Finally, the whites of her eyes, are they too thin or should I take them away completely? Red-lining would be fantastic. Feel free to totally rip it to pieces, that would be the best thing ever.

Since you've got questions ready-to-go...
1. Nah. I've seen anime with mouths that low (which isn't that low, btw). 2. The eyes are just fine. ^^ 3. Between thin or fat, I'd say fat, but it isn't too bad. However, you might want to give a little more "meat" towards her chin, if you know what I mean. 4. Her eyebrows are way too simple, way too flat. For shoujo-looking drawings, go for drawing out those eyebrows, instead of drawing two black lines. 5. Shoujo eyes tend to have little white in them. Although, you might want to blend it in so the white isn't so prominent (a.k.a. use the blur tool towards the edges. Don't overdo them)
Extra notes: The color of the lineart is really what's throwing me off. The color choice for her dress and the headband is perfect, but for her hair and skin, it's way too light. Choose a little bit of a darker pink with less saturation (less intense) and for the skin, go for a semi-light brown/dark tan.

1. Is her mouth too low down in comparison to her eyes? Naw, looks good to me. :3
2. Are her eyes too big, or not big enough, given that she's crying? Also looks good. But maybe I'd have more tears welling up in the bottom of them. It would add to the look, I think. :3 Up to you though.
3. Since you cant see the face, does it look too narrow or too fat (redlining would be appreciated) Nope, the face looks great to me. (Sorry, I'm not coming up with much crit so far, huh? ^^; )
4. Any critique for her eyebrows? Too thick? Not thick enough? In the wrong place completely? I think maybe.. they're too dark. I think I'd use one of the darker shades of pink from her hair. Or even darker pink, I dunno. Also, they're the same width all over, which is probably another reason they look odd. Eyebrows tend to be wider toward the middle of the face, and get thinner at the ends.
5. Finally, the whites of her eyes, are they too thin or should I take them away completely? Maybe they could be a little wider. But they're also fine the way they are, I think.:3 Getting rid of them altogether usually doesn't work too well, in my experience.
6. X3 I really like the hand. The fingers are cute. The coloring though... it's quite uneven. (At least on her hand and hair.) Do you just shade onto white, or do you fill the area with a flat color first? If you don't, you should try it.. and if you do, you should try using larger, longer strokes maybe. :3 Just so things look more solid and.. orderly.
Or if you like that effect on the hair, you might want to have stronger line art, (thicker and possibly darker, you know) and make the hair a different shade than the skin.. when you use chaotic effects like that, you should counter them with something simple and bold. (Which would be the line art. :3 ) That's because in art, opposites tend to work together really well.. opposite colors, opposite line types, opposite types of shapes.. Remember that! *orders* D:< Importante! heart
