The river was flowing, as always. The weather was kind of misty, but the range of sight was correct. Everything calm. Then, a purple and red beast appeared suddenly from the mist, and upon reaching the other side, it flapped and landed awkwardly. Its bright feathered wings contrasted with its dark body. Her scent was that of the bass she fishes for dinner, and, of course, was female.

Hidden in the mist was a dark shadow with tattered wings. He and his familiar were sniffing in the mud along the river, earching for their next meal. ((he's an adult but this shows both of them ^^))

Having been somewhat alone all this time, she wasn't surprised not to recognize all the way the scent of the creature in the mist, even though she supposed it was, as well, a Triune. She walked closer, slowly, curious but however ready to pounce if anything went wrong, and asked, in a yip: "Hello? Who's there?". She slowly took notice of the ripped wings, but didn't assume anything, not even from the more and more stinky scent.

Lazarus looked up at the voice and trotted forward. After his encounter with other Triune at the Haunted House, he was no longer as nervous as he was. In fact, he thought many triune feared him because of the fact that he was... not only different, but dead.
"Hello," he whispered, his voice the rattle of dry leaves. He stepped forward, and his familiar stayed aside him, two of the three heads intent on this new visitor. "I'm Lazarus, and this is Wolfsbane. " He nodded toward the dog beside him. "I haven't seen you here before, I believe?" he asked, his voice piqued with interest.

The Triune emerged from the mist. To her surprise, he wasn't looking very... healthy, despite his voice. The other one was a strange beast, but she assumed rightly it was Lazarus' pet. " I'm Thoweef, not many have seen me before", she replied, a bit worried. "Can you... can you see me? Are you okay?" Who knows? Maybe it was simply a wounded male... though when you're wounded to that point, you can hardly speak properly. She ignored this for a second, hoping it would not want to eat her.

Laz laughed slightly, his laugh a cough that grated his throat. "I'm as fine as I can be," he said. "It's nice to see other Triune," he said and stepped up to her. The exposed bones of his right paw were covered in mud, and he hoped she couldn't see them. "What are you out here for?" He asked. He believed there was always a reason for things... perhaps because he was always on a quest himself, to find out more about his past life, to find food, and to find fire to grant him the head his body could not hold. He was always as cold as the environment around him, and today the mist was quite chill.

"I was stuck behind the river", said Thoweef, "I've just managed to cross it back. I don't know how long I've been alone, but it's nice to see someone, I agree." She didn't ask the question back, she was a bit too disturbed by the smell and the weather. She dared, however, asking something else she couldn't know she might regret, since she's never heard horror stories: "Lazarus, what has happened to you? I sure hope you feel okay, because you look like the fish I usually leave behind." Something else she has never heard about, is diplomacy.

Lazarus nodded. He tended to stay away from open water, but those dead fish on the banks were tasty and easy to eat. He smiled, an odd sneer as he barely had any lips. "I'm glad you made it across. Water can be very... unsafe."
He pawed at the ground, a little abashed at the question asked of him. he would wlays stick out, he supposed. "I died," hs said succinctly. "I don't know any more than that, but I hope to find out your answers someday." His wings flutered, the torn leather rippling slightly.

That was an answer she wasn't sure she wanted to hear. Has she been alone so long that all other Triune have died? Impossible. That can't happen. Anyway, Thoweef trotted back slowly, trying to show as little fear as possible. "Are you and your friend hungry? I'm gonna get you some fish. You like fish, don't you?", she asked softly, before adding: "Don't worry, I'm not running away, or something. You don't sound bad.". It was true, she was less scared of Lazarus than of the strange idea, which was having its way into her mind, that she was isolated so long a catastroph had killed the Triune on the other side. [Lunch time, can't tell you when I'm coming back, but if I'm not within the next hours, happy new year to you!]

((lol nice. happy new year!!))
Lazarus nodded. "We're always hungry, it seems. I'd appreciate your help." He lowered his nose to the mud and began sniffing about again, trying to find some carcasses that had washed up on shore. He wasn't worried that she wanted to be away from him. So far, only Nyx seemed unpurturbed by his state. He missed Nyx, but she was always travelling, trying to work on her potions and spells. It couldn't be helped.

A few minutes later, she was back with a small fish in her jaw. Slowly, she dropped it in front of Lazarus. "There. If you want another one, tell me" , said Thoweef. She sat, and while the undead was taking care of the meal, she took another look at him. He did seem dead. She had to see other Triune to understand what sort of horror could have caused this. Perhaps there was one, as alive as she still is, who knew. That tends to happen, in fairy tales. She shook her head, and trotted to the cerberus. "Wolfsbane, you said? Does he eat thrice as much as normal dogs?"
