DeGei... you don't seem to get the point here. It's not your job or choice to make threads like this, it's Zae's job, Zae's choice. She came back and took charge, so the ball's in her court, regardless of how long it takes her. We're just fine without VCs right now, so I don't even know what spurred this decision, but it's really not your place to be doing it.
Its spurred by the fact that Zae is busy and having something for her to look at upon return might be a good idea. She had us elect a GM, so I applied that same concept to VCs. Its not that far a gap. Im trying to think ahead and plan. If no one steps up to improve things, nothing changes. Sitting around and waiting for Zae to have to do everything seems a childish way to handles things. I mean, Mommy Zae is busy and cant take care of the kiddies so waiting for her to come back and say, "Okay you so and so can be head of the line and so and so can pick whose it for hide & seek" is just childish. I think we are old enough to take charge and get things started.

Degei, what people are angry at is the fact that you're trying to under mind Zae's authority, by trying to pick VC's. I understand what you're saying, but it just doesn't feel right to try and pick VC's without Zae's approval. That's what everyone is trying to tell you. Not that you're wrong in doing this since we know we need VC's and stuff, since Zae isn't around... BUT, doing it behind her back just doesn't seem fair confused .

And, like it has been said, we don't really need VCs right now. They'd just be handy for stickies.

Exactly. I think public nominations by people who have biased opinions aren't really the best way to handle a thing like this, personally. At least if we send in an application she KNOWS we'll be biased for ourselves.

Okay, so that last line didn't rhyme... but comparing us to children is out of line. Think of this -- if all the mods in Gaia were demoted and Lanzer set up a system to elect new ones that had not been put into play yet, would the GCDers nominate mods? No, because they respect and trust the admins. It would be rude to take over an admin's place just because they hadn't finished something yet, and Zaeyde should be treated with just as much respect as the admins are (okay, so maybe we shouldn't worship her, but she still needs to be respected).
Don't interfere, and everything will be fine. She'll get around to it.

Like everyone else has said, it's not your job. Sure, you want to take charge and be the leader and make sure we have what we had before, but it's not your job. Zae will elect VCs if she finds the need, but that's not our concern. We're doing fine without them.

whee We did that before. We made a whole huge discussion about who should be the new mods ages ago. Then Zae came and made me, monkey, ihd, and siamese v.c's. I think Meru was the only one on the old "people who should be v.c" list that actually was v.c. Making a list last time didnt work, why would it work now?
