Israel was still in an absolute daze. Sure... she had been to Paris a few times with her parents. But never at Christmas and it had been several years since her last visit. She was still absolutely floored that Giani had surprised her with the tickets just three days before. She had figured they would stay curled up together in his apartment, spending their first Christmas utterly alone enjoying each other's company and having their own bit of fun around Tokyo and the surrounding cities. Not spending it in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Smiling brightly, her hand in his as they walked side by side down the sidewalk, she looked around the vibrant city and leaned her head against his shoulder. The had arrived a few hours earlier and had taken some time to unpack, take a nape, and shower before stepping out in search of some dinner.

Giani smiled as they walked through the beautiful city. Everything was perfect, he was back in more familiar territory and it made him feel so happy. Especially because Is was there with him. He was so happy to be able to share all this with her. "I've booked us dinner at my favourite restaurant." He said with a smile as they walked through the bitterly cold streets. "I hope you'll like it, it's an old bohemian hang out ... very arty."

Israel smiled at his description of the place they were heading towards and squeezed his hand. "This is so amazing amore," she smiled brightly and looked up at him. "I still can't believe we're here. It's more beautiful than I remember," she smiled, hugging his arm and slipping hers around his waist. With everything that had happened between them the last month, this break was more than welcome. She loved Japan, but her heart truly belonged to the western hemisphere. There's was just so much more freedom and expression in the simplest things and she felt like she could breathe for the first time in many months.

Giani smiled and led her towards the famous town of Monmatre (sp). Down one of the backstreets there was a small thin building, inside were wooden tables and lots of pictures and paintings all over the walls. In fact there were pictures covering almost every inch of the walls, seemingly painted and drawn by customers.
Speaking in his limited French to the owner Giani and Is were shown a table at the back of the dark tavern like room with a single candle on the table. Over the chatter of the restaurant typically french music could be heard. "What do you think?" he asked.

Stepping into the building, she blinked and looked around as her eyes were assaulted with paintings of all types and sizes. It was the most amazing thing she had ever seen, she thought as she listened to Giani speak to the owner and then allowed him to lead her to their table.
"Oh my gosh... I've never seen anything like it," she breathed as she continued to look at the paintings nearest to them. "How did you find this place amore?" she asked, tearing her eyes away long enough to look at him and reach her hand out to him.

Giani smirked and laced his fingers through hers. "On my wanderings when i used to come with my parents. One year we spent several months living in Paris." he smirked and looked around him. "I love this place, the food is amazing, as is the atmosphere."
Taking the menu he placed it on the table between them and allowed his eyes to rtoam over it. "We'll have to draw a picture for them to grace their wall. It's something I've always wanted to do."

Israel's eyes lit up and she moved closer to him so she could read the menu to. Well... attempt to read it. Her French was extremely rusty. "We really can? Do you think they have enough room," she smiled and looked around again. "Did you want to do one together?" she asked, looking up at him as she squeezed his hand gently.
