Sour Apples; A Quest for Lillian
I. Martini I get, but sour?!
A sour apple martini is a very tasty drink, it's very heavy on the liquor so it's not for a light drinker but the taste is amazing. Like most sour concoctions, it's sweet for a minute before the shock of sour takes over. It's will wake you up fairly quickly.
II. California? Huh? Doesn't James Bond like them more?
True but it is widely accepted that the martini came from the Martinez that started in Martinez, California. James Bond helped make the drink a little more popular.
III. So why the Gangster idea?
During the prohibition when other drinks were being lost due to the ban on all liquor, Martinis became that much more popular. The "bathtub gin" was easy to produce and cheaper then Whiskey that took months to get perfect, thus helping the Martini's popularity.
Since the Mobsters of the Prohibition had a huge help in making the drink so popular, I thought of honoring them by the girls attire being closely related to that of a female mobster.
IV. So she comes from?
In keeping with the sour theme of the quest. Lillian will come from Limeaid, a green juice that comes from limes with a bit of sugar and a lot of water in it. It's very tart.. I love it.
