i think you should put them in the back of your truck.. and with the subs.. the size doesn't really matter it's all about the power.. my subs kick out 1100 max power.. and my amp.. kicks out about 950 max power.. but the only way it would kick out that much is if there was a power surge which would blow my system.. what you need to look at when your buying is the rms.. which is basically the constant power.. your amp should never kick out more than the subs... and you pretty much need an amp for a system... uhm when it comes to the kinds i have no idea.. one thing i know is the sony explode amps suck.. alot of people have told me that...

You want an amp that has more peak power than any one sub/woofer/tweeter/speaker in your system. For the very best you want an amp that has an RMS power equal to the total RMS power of your speakers (use the smallest RMS of your speakers and multiply that by the number of speakers you have hooked up to that amp). That way, you play your amp at it's RMS and attain the RMS of your speakers, which will be able to put out the best quality sound constantly, and from time to time you could kick it up a notch and do a little necessary damage to the speakers and amp, but you've got ot let it all loose from time to time smile You're not going to live forever, so neither is your system!

well I love my system ^.^ I got it a few months ago and Im very happy, my only problem with it is the bass drowns out the actual music! so now I need new speakers for the doors, a new radio, and I would like to buy a nice new antennae for my car.
