figuring out the editing software is always the headache with things like this! at least i know how to rotate pics using paint so that wouldn't be an issue. i sent an email to my aol group to see if any of them have an opinion on that camera, it all looks pretty good to me though, plus it's lovely and small! only 9x6x3cm. i have the added advantage of my Mum working in an IT centre, so any pics i want printing, i can email to here and she'll do them there cool but what i mainly want it for is just to take random shots, something to get me outside and walking about, then i'll load them up onto my Flickr account and finally make some use of that. i enjoy browsing through other peopl'es picture galleries, and seeing slices of other people's lives and their perseptions on things, and i want to be able to do the same myself 3nodding

She says hers is a Vivitar or something. I didn't copy the model number, but it's in an email!
What's Flickr?
That sounds fun wandering around taking random shots and getting out! I've been depressed since returning from vacation, as usually happens, and I'm bummed about my daily routine of getting Jade ready for school and then trying to fill my hours with this gameplay or that, but I can't very well make a huge life-routine adjustment with a baby on the way (like starting work or school or something), nor can I go wandering around outside because it's so cold and snowy; Jason couldn't even get either of our cars out of the driveway this morning so my dad just came to pick him up out front!

I have that camera Jackie and it takes great pictures but mine is a couple years old so it's 4.1 megapixels instead of 6 so I'm sure that will be a great camera.

I have a Sony Cyber Shot dsc-p50 (2.1 Megapixel) and have liked it quite well. The only real complaint I have with it, is it EATS batteries, especially if I use the lcd display domokun *munch* *munch* *munch*
Last October while in Chicago, hubby found an Olympus Stylus 810 (8.0 MegaPixel) and I must say it is a lot smaller and easier to use tan the Sony... though it does not have a view finder so the lcd display is the only way to sight a pic... but it doesn't eat batteries like the Sony, but does have a "special" battery (the Sony can use standard AA batteries)
Oh.. the Olympus also does video WITH sound.. kinda fun

That is true. It does go through batteries quickly. I got rechargable ones last year and that eliminated that problem for me pretty much. It all depends on how much you use it I guess.

right then, i ordered the camera this morning. thanks for the positive comments on it!
the package i'm getting has a charger plus 4 rechargable batteries included 3nodding
there's no viewfinder on this one either, i don't think many models have them now.
it had video with sound too, don't know how long a clip can be though.
Flickr is a photo hosting site, there's a similar one about called Zoomr too.
they're fun sites to browse! i often go looking on flickr if i'm at a loose end, get to see people's foodie shots which makes me hungry! or look at the places people visit and so on, it's good biggrin
