Stained Glass House (First Floor)
A Cafe, leisure center, and gardens owned and opperated by Kalena. Private events may be held. Please contact Kalena Scope, manager, for details.
  • Interior: Sunlight pours into the parlour area through a mixture of clear glass and ornate stained glass windows. The Vitorian style house was renovated and restored to its original beauty. An array of mossaic tiled tables with comfortable chairs of all shapes and sizes compliment the rainbow of colors dancing on the hardwood floor. Off the main parlour floor is a library and activities room. A variety of clubs rent the space for meetings, so lessons on a mariad of things are available from ballroom dancing to martial arts to foreign languages.
  • Gardens: Carefully sculpted and meticulously maintained, the gardens are a haven for flower enthusiasts, picnickers, and romantics of all ages. Flowers cascading from every vase in a rainbow of colors. Most notable is the ground's wisteria arcade, with heavy drapes of light purple flowers.
  • Cafe: Indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor tables overlook the gardens while the outdoor ones are tucked away in the most scenic alcoves of the garden. Books, magazines, and games are available for checkout from the front counter. Larger parties may be accommodated in the more spacious parts of the cafe and gardens.
  • Dine-in Kitchen: State of the art kitchen appliances compliment the refurbished counter tops and cabinetry. A private staircase connects the kitchen to the private residences on the second floor. Kitchen handles both cafe and home meals.

Laundry Room connects the Guest Villa to the main house via the kitchen.

Private Residence (Second Floor)
Heavily guarded by Kalena's pups, Beaner and Zorro, no one aside from Kalena and Rhydion get upstairs without escort.
  • Kalena's Room: Spacious and decorated in neutral colors, Kalena's room is her hideaway from everything including work, Rhydion, and life in general. Complete with private balcony that overlooks the gardens, walk-in closet, and a private bath, Kalena rarely gets to enjoy her swank hideaway.
  • Kalena's Study: connects to Kalena's bedroom via the closet. Wall to wall with books, but currently filled with boxes from her desk at the high school she used to work at. Memorabelia from her time at the school also decorate all the surfaces including pictures, banners, and albums.
  • Rhydion's Room: A child's paradise, complete with murals painted on three walls and the ceiling. One wall is black with chalkboard paint, so Rhydion draws pictures and scribbles his thoughts on it. All his toys are neatly kept in the cabinets. Besides his bed is a basket where Zorro and Beans sleep.
  • Living Room: A place where Kalena and Rhydion entertain their private guests. A fantastic A/V system with surround sound and movie projection demands guests to cozy up and enjoy some face time. Opens to the veranda
  • Bathroom

01. Holiday Cheer
PRP - Tayne & Mikomi (Mizu_Taji)

"Now, remember to call me if you get lost or you need anything, Rhyd," Kalena smiled, wiping down a table, and tossing the rag in a bucket at her feet. "You don't have much time before Christmas, and we want to make sure that our guests have enough time to come and visit."

"Just leave it to me, 'Lena," Rhyd grinned happily with his brilliant silver eyes shining and giving her a thumbs up. "With this tip list, I can't go wrong!"

Rhydion met her once among the flowers at the picnic and found her absolutely lovely. He was thrilled to get a letter from Kaze and Arian informing him of the lucky lady would be the recipient of his Secret Gift. Mikomi. Like the last flower to bloom in spring, Rhydion wanted to be the sunshine that would make her open up to the world. What better way to do so, than to give her a gift that would hopefully lead to their spending more time together and working on their friendship. Kalena gave him enough money to buy a proper gift for a young lady. Taking the short list of suggested gift ideas which were enclosed in Arian's letter and a map of the marketplace, the pink spirit headed out from Kalena's Bed and Breakfast, Stained Glass House toward the marketplace.

After several hours of wandering the safer parts of the marketplace, Rhydion returned home with an empty wallet and a bag full of small treats for his designed recipient. With the help of Kalena, he carefully wrapped the items one by one, arranging them neatly in a larger basket. He penned an anonymous letter to Mikomi, and Kalena enclosed it in a letter to Tayne. The invitations were on beautiful, elegant stationery with a winter design. Rhydion's letter invited Mikomi to tea with a mysterious (yet completely safe and harmless) "stranger".

Kalena's letter explained to Tayne that Rhydion was the selected to be Mikomi's Secret Santa, and she wanted to invite both the spirit and her guardian over to the cafe for holiday treats and tea.

Kalena rushed across town, and slipped the letter in Tayne's personal mailbox. In the mean time, the she decorated the cafe with Rhydion's asistance, spreading holiday cheer all over the cafe and gardens.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Tayne yawned and looked around. Daylight attempted to stream through the curtain drawn windows, and even a few beams managed to peek through. Forcing herself to remove her covers, she toddled over to the closet and began to dress for today.

Giving another yawn, now in civilian clothing, Tayne walked towards the stairs, looking first in Mikomi's room. She was still sleeping, or so it seemed. Smiling the young woman tip toed as much as she could past the door and down the stairs, getting herself to the kitchen as quickly as possible.

All was quiet down here. It had been for a while. The Sandersons hadn't gotten back from their trip to far off lands as of yet. She thought they would be back by now. Ah well...

"Guess I should check the mail..." she said. She had been waiting to see if she hasd gotten anything about the places she applied for work. Sure, they could've called...but perhaps they liked to send letters instead, like college acceptance letters.

A few moments later she was back in the kitchen, sorting through her mail. One envelope caught her eye. It didn't have a stamp, meaning it was most likely hand delivered. Curious, she opened it up and read the letter inside, a smile growing on her face.

Mikomi watched her mother from a nearby corner with a grin. How silly of Tayne to think that she was sleeping! Slowly she krept up until she wrapped her arms around Tayne's waist.

"Good morning!" she said after laughing a bit at Tayne's reaction. Mikomi then caught sight of the letter in her hand. "Who's that from?" Tayne answered 'No one' and then handed her a little letter of her own.

Eyes blinked for a moment, then she read the letter slowly. The stationary was pretty she had to admit. A chance to have tea? Sounded lovely! But just who was it from.

"A...mysterious...stranger..." she read aloud, then gulped. Someone she didn't know...that was never a good sign. Or perhaps she did know them...but...still...why keep it a secret unless something odd was going to happen?

Secret. The word bounced in the little spirit's head. She herself just sent the first of her gifts to a person she didn't know...and she called herself secret too...and it said that Tayne was invited too, so it couldn't be that bad

Could it?

"So, do you want to go or not?" Tayne asked. Mikomi was silent for a while, then looked up at her and gave her a nod. Tayne smiled.

"Good! Now let's see that address on that invitation..."

Kalena tried her best not to laugh. After hours of combing and preening, Rhydion's hair was standing taller than ever. He tried his best to spruce himself up for Mikomi's arrival, and it completely backfired. After finally convincing him to sit down for five minutes, and taking hold of the hair wax and a comb, the proud mother made her little boy's hair look tastefully wild.

"Just relax, Rhyd," Kalena chuckled, rubbing her son's hand gently as they sat at the table waiting. "There's no need to be stressed out. It's just tea."

Wiping his freckled cheeks again, Rhydion was relieved that Kalena managed to not only tame his mane, but calmed him down. He was a complete wreck. Excited about Mikomi and Tayne coming to the cafe kept him up all night. The problem was that it was spent pacing the hallway and up and down the stairs with nothing but his thoughts swirling in his mind.

What if she doesn't like it? What if she doesn't like me? What if she doesn't want it because it's from me?

Normally, carefree and happy about everything, Rhydion was struck with pangs of insecurity. Unable to get away from the house kept him from meeting many of the spirits for a long period of time. He wondered if Mikomi would even remember their brief encounter. Giving Kalena's hand another tight squeeze, he sighed his last worried sigh and waited for their guests to arrive.

"Well..." Tayne said as she looked from the invitation to the building in front of her, "...This is the place!" The house was very lovely, she had to admit, and Kalena must be quite brave to have opened up such a shop on her own. Come to think of it though, she never really spoke to her before. She remembered who Rhydion was from the picnic, but she couldn't recall of his gaurdian was there or not.

With a content sigh Tayne smiled and looked down at Mikomi, who clung to her hand tightly. "You ready?"

Mikomi looked at the building with awe. What a nice place to have tea at, or at least by looking at the outside appearance. Perhaps it was even prettier inside! Blinking, she stared at Tayne for a few moments, then gave a slight nod. She was ready. She had Tayne to protect her if anything went wrong after all.

"What kind of tea do you think they'll have?" she asked as they headed towards the door. Perhaps something festive? That would be interesting. When Tayne laughed and shrugged her shoulders, Mikomi went into deep thought, trying to wonder what kind of tea a stranger would serve. Strange tea? No, the only kind of strage tea that she knew of wasn't tea at all. It was coffee...and though it smelled nice she thought it tasted bitter.

Tayne stopped at the door, and though knowing it was both a business and that they were expecting her, she couldn't force herself to open the door. Instead she knocked, hoping someone was near.
