im completely and utterly against war on any circumstance. i would never consider myself a hippie, though i meet all the stereotypes. i promote peace and love and tolerance.
but im perfectly ok with, and sometimes participate in, fist fights and wrestling. not where one person is soley getting the hell beat out of them, but a good, old fashioned scrap, where both poeple want to fight.
its not over an arguement, or because they hate each other, because ussually its between friends. i guess we fight for these reasons: 1. because weve both got a huge emotional buildup inside that needs release. 2. to build strength and indurance. 3. because were both a bit sado-masochistic, and wouldnt mind the crap beat out of them on occasion.
i know that i am conforming to my own beliefs, not others. with that in mind, am i opposing myself, or getting hipocritical here?
is there a real difference between personal recreational fights, and war?

Well now. War is different. For a very long time, I decided intentionally harming anyone at all was "evil" I had very serious anxiety and OCD issues, I think that had alot to do with it, but when I limited myself from too much violence, I decided ALL intentional physical harm was EVIL. I was as bad as the conservative right-wingers. Anyhow. There is a major difference. If the fight it for fun, it is for just that, FUN. It isn't a large scale fight, or anything really of the sort. War is on a large scale, often both sides don't just decide "Ya know what? I got alot of stress! Let's go attack (insert foreign country here)" Well.. at least most countries don't.. *ahem* Yeah War and a fight are VERY different.

Go join martial arts. You can get the stress relief and actually learn something, plus the likelihood of you or your friend harming yourselves from crashing into your environment (corners, rocks, etc.) is significantly lessened.
