Iris smiled. "Alright...well, if they ever come down here, I'll help her." she said, glancing upwards as the sounds of the playing griffins came from beside her.

Well, he certainly wasn't expecting this. Calling out in reply, Elrok pumped his wings harder, determined to catch up. He began to do so, gliding on the wind every once in a while, before putting an extra surge of energy behind his flight, pushing juuust ahead of her. Aha!

Ma'at squawked indignantly as Asriel pounced on her and Sekhmet joined, turning it into a flurry of black and red and tan feathers and fur. Chirping and wrestling and attempting to get back to a decent position, she soon found herself caught up in the play..and decided to give in. She was nearly grown, but all this playing wouldn't hurt. After a few moments' fight, she leapt out of the fray and behind Asriel, gently grabbing his tail and tugging playfully as he continued 'fighting' with Sekhmet.

Sekhmet chirped and called out as they played, attempting to inflict as much irritation on her sister as she could. As the more fiesty of the two, she found more fun in causing her sister irritation than she did playing in general..but this all was fun, nipping and beating her wings at Ma'at and Asriel. She knew her sister was reeling at the fact that someone could get hurt..but Sekhmet loved it. As always.

Asriel squealed, turning on the tan gryphon. His precious tail! Asriel leaped on him, clucking his beak and nipping his feathers. Playing, something that had been strewn from his childhood. His siblings, all slaughtered. Except for Taka. Asriel remembered the brief meeting of him and his younger brother. That had been a wonderful time, but they had never quite played like this. This was fun, exilerating. He loved it.

Aleraya gave a cry, pumping her back legs to gain momentum. Elrok remained inches ahead. Aleraya bit her tongue, and with a surge of energy, thrust herself forward. With a flury of flaps, she was ahead and spinning to victory.

Rain nodded slowly, glancing up at the racing gryphons. Aleraya looked like she was having a good time. Asriel too. The little red gryphon was rolling around on the dirt, playing for the first time in a month.

Elrok worked harder and harder, slowly catching up to her once again. He nearly, just barely, got ahead again..but then, an updraft made him squawk in surprise, and she won. Darn it...dipping his head in lighthearted defeat, he slowed his flight and coo'd quietly.

Iris watched her Elrok and Rain's Aleraya for a moment, before turning her attention down to the three playmates. Ma'at was messing with Asriel's tail, drawing his attention...and Sekhmet seemed to be getting a little angry. Uh-oh. Reaching down, she carefully plucked the black chick from amongst the fight, knowing how explosive her temper could be. The Egyptian woman didn't want someone's else's griffin getting hurt.

She chuckled as Sekhmet screeched in protest, wanting to join Ma'at...who had once again lept free from Asriel and was romping off, tempting the other griffin to follow.

Asriel took the bait, loping after the tan gryphon, squwacking loudly. His wings were up in defense, to bat at the gryphons head. He pounced on her, rolling away to avoid a swat from her paw.
Rain grinned at the little black gryphon. "I remember when Asriel was that small...So cute," she mumured.

Aleraya landed next to Rain, faltering thanks so her leg. Rain stoked her large head, looking over her leg. It wasn't looking too good. Blood was seeping from the cracks.

Iris laughed as Sekhmet struggled. "They all seem to be such a handful at this age...save for Ma'at. But she's proving herself to be handful for Asriel, I see."

Iris frowned as she looked at Aleraya, who landed shortly before Elrok. Instructing Sekhmet to stay near Elrok...who seemed quite concerned over this new friend's injury...Iris bent down to look at the leg...though she didn't touch it. "Am I to be mauled if I try to touch her, or will she allow me to look at it?" the woman asked, glancing up at Rain

Ma'at screeched cheerfully as she rolled in the grass, pausing to catch her breath for a moment. Her wings and muscles ached from the sudden beating that their play had brought on, but she continued nevertheless. The sandy-colored griffin took a moment to notice Elrok's return, and the return of the other griffin, before returning to her play. Deciding to try a bit of stealth, she quickly crept into some nearby tall grass and crouched, her tan coloration blending in perfectly with the dead stalks. She saw Asriel just ahead...still crouching, wings tucked close to her body, creeping forward as silently as she could, she got closer, closer...

Then pounced!

Rain glanced up at Aleraya, stroking her neck. "This woman is going to help you, ok?" she murmured in Aleraya's ear, scratching behind the ears. Aleraya purred, bobbing her head. "She'll stay still," said Rain, giving a thumbs up.

Aleraya stared at the dark skinned woman. She didn't feel comfortable with anyone but her mistress touching her wound, but if this new human could do something, she wasn't about to attack her. She was scared though, and she was shivering underneath Rain's hand. Rain whispered soft words of encouragement in her ear, and she eventually calmed herself, but was still very nervous.

Asriel let out a cry or surprise, rolling underneath the tan gryphon. He swatted his claws and paws, leaping aside and into the air. He knew that he would probably have a little more power in the air.

Iris smiled and reached in a small bag at her waste. She took out some bandages, a vial of blue-ish liquid..and what looked to be a small, fragile flower. The Egyptian woman put a small bit of the contents of the vial on the bandages, immediately causing the liquid to bubble and hiss. Carefully, she crushed up the flower and placed it atop the place where the liquid lay on the bandage, and quickly put the bandage on the griffin's leg, wrapping it around several times. She knew it would probably sting for a few moments...but the wound would be completely healed within days. Iris loved old family..'recipes'.

"There." she said, smiling. "I trust that you'll be feeling better soon." she said, patting the griffin gently.

Ma'at took to the air, flying around and nipping at Asriel whenever she could. She loved flying, espcially now that she was old enough to do so for a good period of time. Squawking, she rose high and then dove t'wards Asriel..knowing he would probably move out of the way, but diving nevertheless

Asriel dodged left, bashing into the side of the gryphon as he dived, sending her spinning. Asriel shot up, screeching a battle cry before swooping in on the tan gryphon. His hooked talons were extended, his wings raised, his curved beak ready. Asriel angled his wings to get a good speed, zooming in one the gryphon.

Aleraya gave a small squeak, recoiling from the wound. It stung badly, and she didn't like it. She lay down slowly, rubbing her cheek against her mistress' leg.

Rain bent down, stroking Aleraya, to comfort her. "It'll be all better soon," she murmured, patting her head. Aleraya clacked her beak, swishing her tail. She couldn't wait for that time to come. Her leg was keeping her from being a full-fledged gryphon.

Ma'at barely had time to think as Asriel came t'wards her, but she did manage to let herself, quite literally, drop to the ground, saving her from the impact. She squawked up at Asriel, almost as if she were laughing at him, and started prancing around, holding her head up high.

"She's right - give it a few days, and you'll be good as new." Iris said, smiling, looking down as Elrok nudged her hand. The rubyback-colored griffin stomped a foot and snapped his beak, looking t'wards Ma'at. Iris followed his gaze, and laughed at the way Ma'at was acting.

Asriel let out a screech, diving again. This time, he hit home. He went tumbing ontop of Ma'at, and the two went rolling down the hill. Asriel couldn't stop, the slope was getting steeper and steeper, and he was rolling very fast. He gave a short sqwack, looking over to see Ma'at in the same situation. They conintued tumbing down the hill till they came to a stop in a bubbling brook that ran around the base of the hill.

Rain stared as Asriel did a belly flop in the stream. She burst into laughter, pointing and laughing. She had never seen Asriel fall in water before. Of course, she had made him take a good bath every once in a while, but he wasn't a swimming sort of gryphon. To see ihim doing the doggy paddle around a little stream was a very funny sight.

Iris laughed as well, especially at the look on her own griffin's face as she found herself suddenly plunged into water. Elrok came up beside her and let out a squawk that sounded a lot like laughter. Sekhmet, on the other hand, just stared - she really didn't see what was so funny.

Ma'at squawked angrily as she struggled to get free of the water. She really didn't like water, and her she was, neck-deep in it. The griffin fought her way to the shore, jumping and landing on the bank. She shook herself free from the water and glared back at Asriel, screeching angrily.

Asriel was coughing up water as he heaved himself over the bank. He was soaked through, his wings heavy with water. He gave a short hiccup, dragging himself completely out of the water onto the sandy bank, where he lay in a wet heap. He gave a small coo, as if to say "truce?".

Aleraya herself loved water. She didn't necessarily like to go diving in deep water, but she liked to bathe herself. So she picked herself up and glided down to the stream. Aleraya slipped into the water without making a sound, ducking under the water to get herself clean. She made sure to keep her wings above water.

"You wanna go join them by the stream?" asked Rain, gesturing toward the three gryphons. Asriel was looking very cold, and Rain thought he might need a blanket.

Ma'at cast a reproachful eye down at Asriel. Hmph, he deserved to be all matted and wet and cold. But...she wasn't one to hold grudges, at least not for these kinds of things. She coo'd back at him, and though it held a bit of a bite, it was still forgiving. That was the best she would give him...

...besides a flick in the face with a wet tail. Hmph. That made her feel better.

Elrok chirped and ruffled his feathers as he watched Asriel and the others get all wet. Hmm, he thought about it, but just didn't feel like being soaked right now. Partially because his white fur and feathers would not absorb the heat like some of the darker colors, so he would probably be cold afterwards. Odd thing, cold - he liked it, but it was still...cold.

Iris nodded, picking up Sekhmet yet again and following Rain down to the bank. Ma'at immediately squawked happily and decided it would be a good idea to get water all over her master and the little Sekhmet..who got rather angry, and broke free of Iris' grip to pounce on Ma'at...who would be having none of it, not now. Iris sighed, looking to Elrok 'You seem to be the only calm one out of my little bunch.'

Asriel clacked his beak, shaking himself. Water sprayed everywhere, soaking Rain head to toe. "ACE!" she yelled, wringing out her braid. Asriel chuckled, skipping away to avoid punishment. Rain pulled a blanket from her bag, wrapping it around herself.

Aleraya pulled herself from the water, rolling around in the thick reeds to dry herself. She was clean and dry when she came over to Rain, curling up around her shivering mistress and purring deeply. She thought it was rather funny that all the little gryphons were playing around in the water. It was an amusing sight.

Rain sat back against Aleraya's soft belly, slowly becoming warmer. Asriel came to next to her aswell, laying his head on her lap. Rain grinned, stroking both gryphons.

((Sorry, but me thinks I'mma have to pull Iris out of here XD Since Abaddon might be making his appearance very soon, and she's gotta be free for that razz ))

Iris sighed, enjoying the sound of the water, laughing slightly at the antics of the gryphons. She felt bad for Rain, getting all wet...but she didn't seem to mind all that much. Her griffins were assisting her in the drying process, after all, so everything was fine.

Elrok suddenly nudged Iris in the leg, squawking quietly. She blinked down at him, wondering just what he was going for, nudging her over and over...and then, she remembered. "Oh!" she exclaimed, standing. She sent an apologetic look t'wards Rain. "I'm sorry...but I remembered that I must be attending a gathering soon. Not too terribly soon, but, well, if I don't get these guys home, we're gonna have a problem." she said, smiling.

"It was very nice meeting you, and I do hope our paths cross again." she said, smiling again and inclining her head. "Good bye!" she said, as she and her griffins ascended the hill, and were out of sight in a matter of moments.
