Heh, I really can't believe some companies are desperate enough to make a buck that they would force something like this on us. Thank goodness that bill wasn't passed. Although, it makes me wonder what would happen to us Canadians. I'm sure most of the companies pushing for non-NN are American-only, so what would happen to us?

As for the companies, keep in mind its AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth
AT&T and BS are the largest telecommunication companies in the world right now, they are in other nations
in fact recently before the elections this year AT&T and BellSouth were trying to merge, but the congess didnt know how to call it
if they did, then they would be the single largest telecom company on the planet, and thus could begin to near-monopolize the market
