Since you say you lack the knowledge of how to draw the human figure correctly, I suggest you look at our tutorials. You should also do a search on deviantART. Find tutorials that teach proportions of the body. When you have practiced that and have become fairly comfortable with it, move on to more detailed things like hands and faces. Find tutorials for these things and when you've practiced and practiced and practiced on your own, show us your most recent drawings. We will help you to figure out what you still need help with and give you further instruction accordingly. 3nodding
Now get to work!

Check the sig, guy. ;P
No, no, but seriously... I find it easies to not try to improve everything at once. Just try to get better at one or two things.. like, what do you suck most at? Or what do you most want to be able to draw well? Just pick something, and do like, tons of sketches of it... just fast ones. Don't agonize over them, just do a lot of drawings, and be proud of the good ones, and LOL at the crappy ones.
Or if you really do suck at everything equally, I'd suggest going after proportions first... because if the proportions are wrong, it can mess everything else up. Get the hang of them, and everything else should become much more clear. ^^
Plus, usually if you concentrate on one area for a long time, once you go back to something else you weren't able to draw before, you'll have a much better idea of what to do.

As an art teacher who has some very very basic students. I usually start out with the face. check out some tutorials, and try lots of examples of guys and girls. Also try drawing expressions. Finally, practice drawing different type of hairstyles. When you feel like you've gotten it down a bit, move onto the body. I wish I could tell you something that would make you instantly better. If I could do that, I'd be a rich man. But follow my steps to start out, its at least a bit of direction for you.

XD A lot can be just doodles and sketches. That was said by an animator. They draw.. a lot. ;D Youll find yourself drawing a whole lot more and a whole lot faster when you start to become a pro.
