I was interested in the Homme Krill including dress.

Would $473.00 + any shipping be a good price for the DOD w/ clothing, face-up, and shoes?

Also//; When the face-up page says that if you choose default it will look like the sample, does that mean the sample picture on the face-up page or the sample picture of the doll you're buying's page?

Everything can be located here//;

The shoes I liked were the S-48

Well, default faceup will be exactly the one he's shown with on his page of the website.And as far as the clohing part of your question goes,Im not really sure what you mean but I would save extra money just in case.

You have the option of buying the doll fullset which includes clothes.
So I was wondering if paying $50 more for the clothing would be worth it.

On DoA, I've read that DOD faceups rub off easily after sometime, when it's not suppose to.

My friend, who is also wanting to get a Kirill, thinks that his clothes look too simple and not really worth the extra money.

$50 is actually a pretty good price for what's included. If you bought similar pieces seperately (pants, shirt, shoes, etc) it would probably end up costing the same or more, espeically if you had to pay shipping on each item individually. But, if you don't like the clothes, I wouldn't suggest getting them anyway. If you're planning to replace them later, then it's a waste of money. If you do like them, then get them -- they're not overpriced.

DOD faceups are $35 faceups. Good quality faceups from other companies and from private customizers can run $40 - $60 and up, plus shipping, for really awesome ones. So, they're alright, they look nice, they last decently, but... they're not amazingly beautiful, and they won't hold up as well as high-quality ones.

3 / 4 of my dolls are from DOD, and have DOD-done faceups. The third is done by a private faceup artist. The DOD faceups are cute and work well, but the one by the private faceup artist is amazing. So it's really a question of 1.) Do you want your doll to arrive with a faceup already done? and 2.) Do you want to spend extra money and wait the extra time to get an independant faceup artist to paint your doll for you?

what rally said is true, it has happened. It isnt a common incident by any means, and you run that risk with any company. They do do lovely faceups though. It just depends on what you want your doll to look like.

As far as the outfit goes, it is a matter of opinion. If you like the outfit, get it. It isnt that high an extra cost, and DoD clothing is very well made, except sometimes the pants are a little baggy in the waist( I have one pair of pants that is and one that isnt xp ). It saves you from going" OMG I have no clothing for the little naked person!!!" when he arrives, though i you get makeup, that wait can be up to 7 weeks if there are alot of other orders. My Camine took 7 weeks and 1 day with makeu, but they had just come out at the time

It is true that with any company you run the risk of the makeup getting rushed/poorly done esp. during Holidays and when newdolls are released.One girl on DoA has a friend that just recieved a tan El from Luts and they didnt even finish his faceup before he was sent out(no glossing at all and the faceup unsealed)The faceup she paid a pretty penny for was trashed is a week.My sister's Camine's faceup is still nearly perfect after a year(he gets a lot of play and has been dropped on his face with little damage) and a friend's Bee-a still has her faceup after nearly 2 years(cheeks are a little faded though).Our Black Cat Lucas wasnt well done either(uneven lips,overglossed,green eyeshadow and sparkles(very bad choice Volks! xp ) Limited Lati Aida also very overglossed and somewhat sloppy...looks like he was up to no good in a very vulgar manner.Faceups are a total crapshoot and none are going to be permanent by any means,even with MSC.They are generally meant to only last 6 months with lots of play.
