There are many differences between Catholic and Baptist beliefs. Catholic is based off of the Catholic belief system, and the word of the pope. while baptists, we believe in directly the bibles word in itself (which was written by God (through man of course)). if you need information on the reliability of the bible just ask, i don't have time right now. but i can tell you that also the Catholics believe in public confession, where you tell of your sins to a priest, while the Baptist believe in as the bible says that we confess our sins to God Himself. (the priest isn't the one that decides to forgive you or not, it's God) of course God always forgives, but if you do not try to repent from your sins, it is very doubtful your going to heaven. (God's not stupid, He knows your heart... lol). Baptist is considered a protestant sect of Christianity, because we decided to not go along with thE Catholic church which which made up their own way of worshiping through the ages... most changes were directly from the Pope, obviously. but Baptists do not pray to Mary (Mary is not infinite and everywhere like God, she's probably taking a nap in heaven next to Jesus at the time your praying... not literaly...) God is everywhere and always hears your prayers. though the reason people in the Catholic religion believe they should pray to Mary is because they believe that when they talk to Mary, she will soften Jesus up and tell Him. the truth is that Jesus loves all of us more than we could ever love Him, he will always listen to us, regardless.

But in the end, it's all up to God to choose who goes to heaven and who wouldn't. He knows your heart, and if you love Him and are trying to live for Him. He'll let you into heaven, it doesn't matter what sect you are a part of in Christianity. as long as you live for Christ, and dwell in His word, following Him as He commands.

if you need any more information, please ask me.

We do have communion.

No, we don't dance. That is just crazy! Ha. People at my church dance.

This should help:

The Four Spiritual Truths
1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.
2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.
4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters.

I am Baptist by the way, and I thought it was funny.
