~Day trip~ The next day Clarissa went to town to buy some clothing for her new brother. She played with tidus most of the way to the town. She had never seen a happier baby in the 4 years of helping the doctor. He had slept sound though his first night and had only cried once when he need to be changed.
She smiled happily taking tidus in her arms once more when the carriage stopped. "Mike please wait for me, I'm not staying in town long." Mike just nodded.
Clarissa moved quickly wanting this over now. She found the doctor in his office reading some papers. "Doctor i need to speak with you"
The doctor nodded. "to busy to help me out now aren't you." Clarissa nodded looking at the ground. "Don't worry take care of tidus, he needs you more then i do" Clarissa looked at the doctors thanking him before leaving. Tidus gurgled happily as she moved to the market.
She found a few outfits and other supplies the house was lacking to alow her to take care of tidus. Tidus however grabbed a bunny's ear as Clarissa talked when the merchant. As she moved away tidus held on to the bunny. Clarissa looked at what he'd found. "what a strong grip. I bet you'd like him to come home with us huh Tidus" Clarissa paced a few coins to the merchant and then took the bunny into her arm with tidus.
Then they headed home. tidus spent most of the day playing with his first toy.

~The garden~ I can't stand just stilling around in this house tidus." i said pacing around my room. Tidus just laid there sucking his hand. *there so helpless and cute* she thought to her self. "Why don't i show you my favorite place in the whole world?" tidus made some happy noises and i decided that meant her wanted to go.
i bundled him up i a warm blanket and opened the large double doors to the back yard. i walked across the bridge that crossed of the stream that separated the garden and house. i looked over the edge watching the gold fish fight each other over bits of food. I smiled continuing on.
I walked far back into the garden till i reached a clearing. It was a large circle surrounded almost completely in flowers of all kinds. I sat down cradling tidus. "you know this was the only place i ever really went with my mom. I was a little older then you but not much." i shake my head. "what am i thinking you can't understand me yet can you tidus? besides you are the start of something new, i shouldn't burden you with the past."
We stayed out side till almost lunch i stood up taking tidus to the flowers and picking on out softly. "lest bring this back with us. ill put it in some water and it can keep our room smelling just like out here."
With that i moved back to the house. *i don't remember ever being so happy before* she thought as she held tidus to her chest gently as he feel asleep.

~First Words~ Clarissa and tidus visited the garden every day. She took him swimming one day. Shel loved how much he enjoyed it. He seemed at home in it. He had also taken to diving under with all his might. Sadly he couldn't get back up. Clarissa scooped him out and dried him. "Silly boy you can't just go under the water." she walked slowly towards the clearing "Once your bigger and stronger you can swim all you want. I'll always make sure you get what you want" she nuzzled her nose to him making baby noises. She was so happy to hear him retuning them.
A few day later is was raining so Clarissa decided to stay inside and read to tidus. The where part way though the 5th book when tidus started to act up. He was hitting the book when the picture of a cat showed up. But Clarissa didn't mind. She could tell he wanted something. Thats when he added the noises cass cass to each hit.
She picked him up and rocked him "Tidus your getting it. Your starting to talk. My sweet boy." she held him closely to her heart. singing a soft lullaby. He nuzzled right in graping her top and hes eyes closed. "mama" he cooed softly before drifting off.
Clarissa experienced the most joy she ever had in that one word. She moved him to her room placing him in the crib. "That's right tidus I'll be just like the mom i never had."

~Toddler Growth~ LOTK You hear a loud sound and than you start to hear Tidus giggle, maybe you should go and check on him. Sierra_penman Clarissa runs from the kitchen back to the bed room. "Tidus" she yells in panic. She listen closely before going in. The crash had worried her so much but now....was the giggling she heard? she opened the door and saw tidus in his crib. The room looked fine but the window was broken. Clarissa grabbed tidus and took him with her to the kitchen. "I'm sorry i left you alone." She sends one of the maids who is in today to her room to fix the window and the other to set up a temporary room in one of the others. "I wounder who brook that window..." LOTK While you weren't looking Tidus started to crawl away and crawled into the closet. Than there was a very bright glow and Tidus came jumping out with his hands in the air. "LOOKY! Me bigger Nows mama!" Tidus said excited. Sierra_penman Clarissa smiled getting up. she hugged tidus. "my my you have grown haven't you. well i guess well need to set you up your own room now" Clarissa looked around "well have this one set up for you" tidus nodded "Me get my own room YAY."

~paintings~
"Mommy can i use these" I sat up in my bed "tidus what time is it" i said rubbing my eyes. "please mommy please" I took the tub of paint from him. "sure tidus we can paint today. Next time wake sister up first" he jumped of my bed grabbing the paper and 2 more colors. i grabbed the rest fallowing him to the living room. We sat and painted most off the day. i had to laugh when tidus started running from his chair to the window "tidus what are you doing?" he held up the image he had created. "i wanted to make it look right for you mommy" He said proudly holding up his painting.
I took the picture "its perfect tidus" he yawned. "come on we were up very early today." i took him to his room and sang him to sleep. After watching him for some time i got up and started to clean our paintings up. I found room on the fridge for most of them but the one he had worked so hard on i hung in my room.
i was on my way to my room the the last of our supplies when the town sage came into her home. "miss Clarissa! miss Clarissa!"
"shh sage you'll wake tidus" i said walking to him. "what brings you to my home?"
"your mother will be here in 3 days...."

~Mothers~ Clarissa was still asleep when her mother came home. she didn't even look at her own child. she went straight to tidus. she sat at the end of his bed in her "royal glory". "what a wonderful child." tidus eyes opened at saw the strange lady. He screamed waking Clarissa up. The woman tried to hush him but he run past her and to his door right when Clarissa got their tidus hid behind her cling to her legs. "whats going...MOTHER!"
her mother got up off the bed. "what a rude child your raising Clarissa. He screamed at his own mother"
"tidus its alright. she our mother go say hello." Clarissa wasn't even listening to her mother scolding. had her back to her and was comforting tidus. "no your mommy your mommy" Clarissa laughed. "no I've told you i'm your sister." Clarissa's mother walked past them. "i only came to say hello. i was going to stay the day but since I'm not wanted i'm leaving." Clarissa looked up to the disapering back of her mother. she knew the shape all to well. before she would have bent over backwards to get her to stay but not this time. she stood up. "it was good to see you mother. come tidus you need more sleep its much to early." she ushered tidus into his room closing the door. her mother looked back in disbelievingly and then stormed out the door to her carriage. "lets go! the next town by night fall!" and with that she was gone.

~::Bad dreams::~ Tidus lay in bed tossing and turning in his sleep. In his dream fire rose around him. He had been looking for Clarissa for so long, but she was no were. He didn't respond to him calling. The only noise other then his panicking voice was an awful laughing all around him. The fire was closing in around him the fire licking at his skin. he closed his eyes tightly. then the sweetest voice called him. "Tidus its okey just open your eyes" he didn't want to see the flames "its okey Tidus just wake up" Tidus opened his eyes and tears started to roll down his cheeks. "mommy mommy."
Clarissa warped her arms lovingly around him hushing him softly. "Its okey Tidus you just had a bad dream." Clarissa spent an hour reading and sing to Tidus before he was ready to sleep again. yet when she went to leave he called out. "mommy don't go. i don't want that dream to come back." she nodded and said. "i have something to protect you." she hurried to her room pulling an old toy out of a drawer. Tidus sat up in bed waiting.
when she came back she hung the toy over his bed. he looked at the beautiful object. "whats that mommy?"
it keeps bad dream away. its called a dream catcher. It will let only good dreams into your mind. Tidus nodded and quickly fell fast asleep into happy dreams or candies and toys, and of coarse his place out back with Clarissa.

~The lost toy~ Tidus had been looking forward to his play date but was sad it had ended so fast. The others had to leave right after their first ride. Clarissa said they could stay the day add play games and go on a bunch more rides. Tidus had fun going on the bumper cars mini roller coaster. He also got to go in the big bounce he had really liked it. but soon he wasn't having fun having Clarissa watch him so he asked to go play some games they could do together. Clarissa agreed but said they should have lunch first. That is when Tidus discovered the greatest thing in the whole wide world COTTON CANDY!!!!. he ate him self silly on the stuff for lunch. Clarissa laughed at him taking it away before he made him self sick. "you can have more later come on" she picked him up and wiped his gooey face clean."lets go fishing"
"But i wanted to play a game!" Tidus pouted. "it is Tidus" she said with a wink. she carried him over to one of the colorful tents covered in toys. "Step right up take a chance 3 small for a medium 3 medium for a large and you can keep going right to super large." said the man pointing up to a huge dragon stuffy above him. "wow" Clarissa bought them both a try at the game and showed Tidus how to catch a fish. she pulled hers up with excitement. the man said her duck was medium. Clarissa picked out the blitz ball and then handed the rod over to Tidus. she knelt down helping him cast and soon he to pulled out a fish. "BIG WINNER" exclaimed the man. "you get a super large on your very first try. okey sonny witch would you like." he pointed to the huge toys above his head. "That one the dragon! the dragon!" Tidus said immediately. he pulled down the huge green dragon. Clarissa put it on her back. tail included it was taller then her. she smiled at Tidus and they decided to call it a day. "you sure are lucky Tidus" Clarissa said. "yup i sure am" he walked ahead proudly, he walked a little to fast. in a moment Clarissa lost sight of him being to slow with the dragon to keep up. she searched the crowd again but was becoming worried. Tidus soon noticed he was alone he clutched the blitz ball to his chest starting to cry.
Clarissa heard him and dropped the dragon running right to him. Some kid saw the discarded toy and took it for him self. Clarissa cuddled Tidus to her chest while she searched for the now lost toy once she had Tidus back under her control. It was getting late and Tidus could see he wasn't getting to dragon back. "Its okey mom can i just have the ball instead?" Clarissa nodded. "I'm sorry i dropped it Tidus." Tidus shock his head. id rather have you then it sister!" Clarissa kissed his forehead and they decided to head back home. Tidus soon fell asleep in Clarissa's arms still holding the blitz ball to his chest.

~Just another day~ (Tidus view)
I looked into mommies room. She sat at her desk deep in though. She said she needed me to play by myself today. I didn't want to be a baby so i said okey but i still missed her. I slowly closed the door and went back into my room. I crawled up onto my bed opening one of the picture books, spread over his bed. I loved this one. it was a story about a princess who falls in love with a ghost. In the end her loves makes him real again. I don't know how long i sat staring deeply into the book but when i looked up a strange box was sitting in front of me. It said to Tidus...i shook it lightly and i could here something inside. I quickly pulled at the ribbon so i could open the lid. I side sat a little gold item
I picked it up and crawled off my bed caring it carefully. I put it down on the ground and it started to smoke. slowly before my eyes my room changed. I was floating over a strang world. Their was a girl whistling and crying as she over looked the water. i wanted to go to her but as i went to hug her my arms wrapped around mommies legs. I looked up crying. The gold thing and box were gone....at lest it wasn't as bad as my last dream and the destruction of the town.

~Strangers in the forest~ Clarissa and Tidus were enjoying the rainbow of leaves in the backyard. Clarissa was laying down on the huge pile of leaves they had made. She looked over at Tidus who was busy collecting more leaves. The visit from her mother had been so hard and now her dad was coming for Halloween. So much had to be done. But she could only think about Tidus. "Mommy can i go pick flowers?" Clarissa propped herself up on her elbows. "alright Tidus but don't go to far, we need to head back inside soon. Tidus tried to salute like the man who had come over the other day. He was a messenger for her father but younger and had spent some time playing with the child. She watched Tidus form go into the rainbow of fall colors.
Tidus ran up the hill to the only patch of flowers but he froze seeing a strange man in a red coat sitting there. "Tidus come sit" he padded to ground next to him. Tidus backed away falling over his feet. The stranger got up and before Tidus could think he was grabbed by the man. "hush now Tidus i have a gift." in the field of flowers sat the gold object again. Its smoke started to form something before them. Tidus sat still in awe.
the puppy stood up as Tidus was released. the man backed off into the woods. the puppy hopped around Tidus but froze and they heard footsteps. the puppy changed back into smoke and was gone. Tidus grabbed the gold object and Clarissa came up behind him. "Tidus are you...where did that come from" Tidus turned around holding it up proudly "i found it mommy!" Clarissa nodded picking Tidus up. "okey lets goes find somewhere to put it" Clarissa's didn't let her concern show but walked quickly back to the house.

~Halloween~
Tidus looked up as Clarissa came into his room she was holding a huge orange thing in front of her. "Tidus come help me carve the pumpkin" she said from somewhere behind it. she turned leaving and Tidus fallowed quickly. they spent they afternoon carving out the inside. then she gave him a marker and told him to draw a scary face on it. her did so happily and was quite proud of him self. he watched at Clarissa cut out the face and lit a candle inside of the huge thing. it grinned back happily.
mom whats it for. Clarissa giggled. "Halloween" she said in a spooky voice. hum "i guess" she blew out the candle; the lively fire of its soul; putting it back to sleep. "we'll have to get you a costume so we can go trick or treating!"
Tidus nodded he knew what trick or treating was! he skipped back to his room to play with his toys again.

~Thoughts in the dark~ Tidus laid awake late tonight. He had been tossing a turning most of the night. He looked around his room again but this time his mirror cough his attention. It was glowing! he moved to the mirror with a flash of speed. he stood right in front of it but he couldn't see his reflection. All he could see was a rainbow off colors. he touched the mirror carefully as he did a whistle rang in his ears. He almost stepped forward to the familiar sound but turned and ran the next second. He dashed under is covers and hid but all he could hear was that whistling. It eventually stopped and he risked to peek out. The mirror was still glowing but her saw his room he was himself again. He watched as the mirror slowly went dim again. and he laid down and fell fast asleep.
When he got up in the morning he told Clarissa about his night and she told him he had very creative dreams.and hugged him tight. Tidus knew it was real but he wanted mommy to be right so he hugged her back and decided to believe her.
