Edit: I got tested, and it came up negative. The lady who tested me said the symptoms may have been caused by the patch. I start the pill next week. She also told me if I don't start my next period, then to take another test. So yeah... Thanks everyone. And the crackers thing by the bed did help my nausea this morning. I think I'll make a doctor's appt. if it doesn't subside by next week...
Ok, I'm 18, my boyfriend is 17. I've been on the Ortho Evra patch for about 6-7 months now, I use it properly, and I think it has a failure rate of about 99%?
Anyways, about 4 weeks ago (November 17th), we had sex, no condoms, but I was on birth control, right? The next week, we also had sex, and then no sex for a while, it's so damn hard to find privacy!
I got my period. But it started a day late, and only ran for 3 days. And it was notably light. I didn't even have it in my mind that I could be pregnant. I mean, I started my period, right? It could've been stress. But I wasn't really stressed at the time.
About a week ago, I started getting really nauseous. It still didn't occur to me for another few, nausea-wracked days that this could be an early pregnancy symptom. I'm having other signs now, but those could be stress-induced.
I used an EPT this morning, one of the +/- ones, and the minus line showed up clear, but across it, very faint, was a little blue line. I don't think I'm seeing things. I followed the instructions, read the test within the time given, and saw the little blue line that could change my life.
It's not the end of the world if I get pregnant. I will keep it, and I know that my family will support me, and so will his, and I know he will not leave me. I've got an appointment made to get a blood test tomorrow at the local health dept., but my mom works there, so I get to sneak around. Unfortunately, it's the only place I can get it for free.
So until tomorrow at 2:30, I have to sit, and wait. I hate waiting. So somebody please talk to me, offer advice, consolation, yell at me, I don't care. I am so scared right now.
Also, does anyone have any tips for nausea? Pregnant or not, I was nauseous before I even thought of pregnancy, and it's only getting worse, in between stress and whatever might be causing it.

I was surfing the internet for more info on early pregnancy symptoms, etc. and I came across a website with a "pregnancy calculator". It calculates the chances of you being pregnant. I put in all my info and it gave me a 5% chance. I don't think that's correct, but whatever. I got bored and started messing with the symptoms area, etc. to see how much I could increase the chances of being pregnant. The most I got was for an 18yr old w/ a 28 day cycle, having had sex multiple times around the 14th day. I checked all the symptoms, including the one that said a positive ept, and checked No, I want to get pregnant for form of birth control. Guess what percent that got? Yep, 26%. So I checked every single form of birth control except the no's and kept the same stats in for everything else. Guess what percent? 26%. My rating of this site: funny, but probably not very accurate. I think they were basing the chances of being pregnant off of the fact that the positive proof of a pregnancy is when the fetus's heartbeat is heard around 10-12 weeks. Still, the site kept me amused for 10 minutes... http://www.epigee.org/pregnancy/test.html

Crackers are supposed to be good for nausea, whether you are pregnant or not. You could play around on mymonthlycycles.com too. It has a calendar that you fill in to keep track of when you got your period, when you should expect it again, when you should be the most fertile, etc. It has some health links and baby links too. Maybe it will entertain for a bit at least. xp It's free to register. Registering just makes it so that the cite remembers your past period information, so that it can use that to predict your future periods and times of peak fertility.

Ginger and peppermint are supposed to be helpful for nausea, along with crackers as Lorien mentioned. As everyone's different, though, just experiment a little. Pretty much, if it sounds good to you, it probably won't make it worse.

Yep, Savina is right. Peppermint is the best for nausea.
Oh, and take a pregnancy test that says "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". I've taken those dumb +/- ones, they're so hard to read! Pregnant or Not Pregnant is so much easier =D
@LorienLlewellyn: I use that site! Or I used to. I would forget and the site would email me like, "You've missed your period, take a pregnancy test!" and blah. And I'd laugh. You've gotta remember to keep up on it.
Other than that, that site is great.
Doesn't it show little bunnies on fertile days? Or am I thinking of something else?

And they show you when you should be at peak fertility, or when you should be just a little fertile. The thing that I like about the cite is that it takes your past periods into account when trying to predict your fertility and furture periods. So if you typically have a 25 day cycle or a 32 day cycle or something instead of 28, it tailors it to you. I used it every month for about a year, but the last six months or so, I got lazy and stopped entering my informartion. I do fine at keeping track of when I should get my period anyway though. I think it is great for people who are bad at keeping track. It can also be good for people who have irregular periods, even if the prediction part might not work as well for them.

I'm going to the local health dept. tomorrow to get a blood test. The only bad thing is, my mom works at the health dept. So everybody knows me there. The actual appt is confidential. I'm using the excuse that I have to pick up more birth control patches. LOL irony... So yeah. My lower abdomen feels...odd... I was lightly pressing it earlier with my hand, and it feels different... Is that normal? If I am actually pregnant, I'd be about 4 weeks along...

Is that normal? If I am actually pregnant, I'd be about 4 weeks along... Well, if you are, congrats. Make sure to look into everything! When I first found out I was, I was scared. So, I looked online. I got a huge list of things I can eat and things that are dangerous to the baby. This site, I love: www.webmd.com So much information on how a baby forms and things of the like so read! Gather all the information you can right now. You can't have enough. Also, decide what the best way to care for the baby is. If you can care for it or if you think you'll need to put it up for adoption(as hard as it is to even think about, if it's the best answer, you can't be selfish. Keeping a baby because you love it is one thing but if you can't support it at all, it's selfish.)so figure that out quickly. Good luck and (possible)congrats!
