http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20669103The Admin are holding a plot-related art contest that'll run till the 27th. Since they didn't make this announcement sitewide (for SOME reason), I though I'd post up here in case any of you guys were interested. Here's the lowdown: Grandprize is either a pair of Nitemare Minis or a pair of Angelic Minis Second Prize is an OMG/AFK. Third prize is a KiKi/CoCo kitty. There are two forums, one for alien-related entries and one for human/resistance-related entries. You simply post up your entry in the forum and you're good to go. Apparently the judging will be a 50/50 thing where the Admins decide 50% and the Gaians decide 50% and somehow magically a winnar will be chosen. Here's a catch, you must be a legal US resident to enter. I am assuming this has to do with crazy legal reasonings, but there you have it. And sadly, I can't enter because I r workin for teh man. crying PS: And for those of you who don't know, 2 new event items have been released recently. Check this thread for more help: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20286473

Wow! Thanks for the information.
Pity I'm not an artist, but I know we have a couple around here someplace.
Someone summon the might RSJ, Dave McGuire and Josh Lesnick, for the greater good!

Almost as awesome as these rebellion face masks and alien antennae x3
Also the whiners complaining about the art contest being restricted to one country due to LEGAL reasons is hilarious. I mean these whiners will vote for the one that is most animesque out there anyways rolleyes

Go Grace! And if you have Josh Lesnick's current whereabouts online, give him a nudge about this. Who knows?

Grace, after looking at the work you posted in your DevArt account and website, I'm really impressed! I'm looking forward to what you come up with for this contest!

Wow. I think just now I was as close to wishing I were an American as I'll ever get. Ever. I'll have to just travel across the border and spin that bloody wheel of theirs one day. I'd better win me something good. xd Not that I'd be any sort of competition as to stand a chance against some of the amazing artists that frequent Gaia. Grace included. For only 22 prizes to be won, my odds wouldn't be that great anyways. I'm feverishly relying on the Quest system allowing me to eventually achieve Angelic Mini's or if I'm really lucky, Bunny Slippers. I adore those pixels, but they jumped by 4mil and 6mil in the time it took me to save 3. sweatdrop Thanks for the info, Loki. EDIT: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?page=1&t=20719047And so proves my theory that I can't compare. Though the Zurg entries that I saw were all rather sad...

Please note: 50% of the artwork's grade will be based on public opinion. Which means that even if you draw like crap, if you're popular, at least 50% of your final score will be considerably higher.

A small part of me is upset that no one was clamering for my participation.
But then very few who are active know of my works.
Also I don't have time/dont' give enough of a damn to participate.
...
Don't mind me, just flapping my e-gums.

I think this is the ONLY TIME I wish I were in Yankeeland right now. If I were, I'd do the AYGGS gang helping the Zurg in some mass destruction.
Grace, rock these bitches hard! We'll be supporting you all the way.
