Confession time:
When I was about ten/eleven can't remember the exact age I used to spend HOURS playing with numbers on my calcultor. I would take the calculator in the car with me or play with it while I was watching tv, just seeing what happened when I did different things to different numbers.
Nowadays you are more likely to find me working on logic puzzles or working through some algorithm we were taught in class (if I'm not reading)
I also have a love of working out prime numbers.

One time, when me and some people in my class got bored, we decided to work out what velocity you need to attain to go over the top of a swing. And then tested the theory out. XD Our test subject made it over, so it was all good.
Oh, and the maturity of Uni-first-year Physics students; spelling rude words on our calculators. =D
What else... oh, Storm-in-a-Teacup. We figured out how to get the most thrilling ride via something akin to the Slingshot effect.
Ah, the fun of bored Physicists...

Where to start... Over my spring break this year I signed up to sit in on 4 biology classes at the college I want to go to, I'm trying to teach myself C++, I look at things under my microscope on a regular basis, and use my chem set. Those are the main ones right now I think.

I guess this is semi nerdy since it involves *more* alone time in front of the computer... I like to compose or arrange music. I really suck at it though. It takes me forever and I'm rarely happy with how it sounds, but I just like to experiment. In response to some things other people said, even though this thread is really old so you might not see it...
@Drake07 - yay, Spirograph! ^^[size=9]Dewdew I also have a love of working out prime numbers. How do you mean?

I think my nerdiest pastimes would be...
~ Teaching myself Javascript just for fun ~ Looking at a situation or event and seeing if any equations I know can explain it ~ Making movies with iMovie or music with GarageBand [oh the beauty of a mac] ~ Editing random pictures with photoshop ~ Making smiley faces and typing messages with my calculator
