That is a tough question. How can something be wrong/bad/sin if you feel so strongly about it to the point that it feels natural? How many sins are like that? How do they differ? Why are some spoken against more strongly then others?
I have found these topics like homosexuality, abortion, slavery, and countless others are not always black and white. I can see how one person can think about one side of the spectrum and see the good points they have, and then see the reasoning of the person on the opposite side and see that they also have very strong arguments. Its a really tough question when both sides have strong arguments. Why else would we be struggling over the same problems over and over? The answer is not clear cut, and so the debate continues on.
To answer your question, at first I would have answered: giving in to the sin completely is where it becomes wrong, even if it feels like you can't repent of it. But I've never lived with that sin(homosexuality), and as many testify this feeling is something that may have been with them since birth and is not something that can easily change... I have to sympathize with that. There is this pain, suffering caused by this, and that should not be given a cold shoulder. What you feel is very real, and we all have felt pain to some extent, and I know how terrible suffering is. Not only that but the source of this suffering in homosexuals is largely from persecution which is terrible.
I am ashamed that some Christians are active in that persecution, even though I try not too, I confess that I may not have be as sympathetic as I should be, but this persecution is wrong. What we need to concentrate on as Christians is to be right with God and show others how to do the same and know the peace and joy that comes with it, not persecute others. I feel this is what we should concentrate on, not "You can't be Christian because you (insert sin here)." Jesus preached His gospel to all, not just to the righteous.
Sin is something that keeps you from your relationship with God. We are all sinners and fall short of what God has wanted in us. Until we repent, turn from our sinful ways and pursue a life of righteousness(trying to be right with God), we will never begin understand what God wants for us nor come close to what God wants us to be. This is what I have come to believe in these matters.
Now, I could give you a testimony of some of my sins that may compare to your situation so that you know where I come from, and maybe that could give you some insight into your situation.

Hmm....Well to start off with, it DOES say in the bible that homosexuality is wrong. Secondly, a lot of people do have homo temptations from time to time. But the thing is, just cause you're tempted doesn't mean you have to give in. Everyone has some kind of temptation, but it doesn't become a sin unless you give in and commit the sin. :3 I myself have struggled with it and in time I just got over it. Just like theft; you see that really cool item and it just feels so easy and you probably could get away with it. But if you just walk away then you haven't done anything wrong. =) <--my opionion

Just love them (gays and lesbians) and treat them like Jesus would, because they are people just like the rest of us. He loves them even if they are living a life of constant sin. Yes, they are sinning if they are committing sexual acts with another member of the same sex. But we can't judge them. People sin all the time. Stealing, cheating, lying, killing, and a number of other things are sins too, but everybody needs to be loved. That's the reason why a lot of people do these things. Also, a lot of men and women turn to the same gender because they have been wronged by someone from the opposite gender. Most of them have their reasons. I don't believe God creates you gay. Some men have more of a feminine side, and some women have more of a masculine side, but it's what you choose to do with it that counts. My mom is masculine, and my step-dad is a little feminine, but they chose each other, not someone of the same gender.
