Ok just recently this what happened when I was leveling WHM in Qufim.
Taru: Can you raise me?
Me: Hold on.
Taru: ok, but can you raise me?
Me: Let me finish this fight
I finish the fight
Me: Hey Elmira can you raise that taru?
Elmira: Sure
Then thf brought another crab
Me: Elmira will raise you after this fight
Taru: ok
Elmira is healing for mp to raise taru
Taru2: Can you raise him?
Me: I can't raise
Taru2: Can't you raise him?
Me: No I can't. I'm only level 22
Taru2: Take off level sync
Me: I'm level 22 with or without level sync
Taru2: You can raise him
Me: WHM does not get raise until level 25
Then no more discussion. Elmira was about to raise Taru but he was impatient and hp'd. Oh well.
That was weird. They see a WHM and automatically assume that they can raise.
Oh well.

lol. I had a simular story during a merit pt.
rdm> I died. Can the brd raise me?

rdm> Then why do you hav 200 mp?

This was when I recently came back playing FFXI with a new Hume character. I leveled through to Yuhtunga Jungle as a whm/blm. This DRG kept complaining to me I was not healing (when I was.) So I got pretty annoyed because I am one of the good healers out there. (Played whm as a taru and conserved MP while keeping hp at high for everyone in the pt.) I was about to leave the party until the DRG died a second time and I laughed when he left the party. Didn't get much exp in the first place.... was a waste of a few hours until I pted in Yhoater with 2 BST 1 other WHM and 2 others.
Me: *Heals as a WHM while getting hit often*
DRG: *Dies*
DRG: WHY AREN'T YOU HEALING?
Me: Because we don't have a real tank and the mob keeps hitting me even though I am at max distance away from the mob .... while I am healing you guys.
DRG: Your job is to heal! And your not healing.
Me: I TOLD YOU I CAN'T KEEP HEALING YOU IF I KEEP GETTING HIT. I AM NOT GOING TO GET THE PARTY TO ALL DIE JUST BECAUSE THE MOB KEEPS RUNNING TO ME.
DRG: *dies and leaves*
Me: *laughs and talks about it to the party*
Lets just say that my party agreed with me saying the exact same thing. I had to heal almost everyone in the party because the mob was not stationary at all. Not to mention we didn't have a real tank to begin with. No PLD, no NIN, no WAR, not even a reliable MNK.
I got hit and the rest of the party got hit.... my HP was low so I casted Regen on myself ..... got hit again and Cured myself and looked at my party to quickly heal them -.-.

Okay, today I am in a level synced party for level 34. I started out w/ level 39. Anyhow, I was the only mage in the party in the Garlaige Chitadel. We had 2 SAM, 1 WAR, 1 PLD, 1 DNC, and me RDM. After after 2 fights we have to rest because I run out of mp. Not level 41 w/ convert yet. So the DNC or WAR (can't remember which) sent a tell to me that was intended for someone else.
DNC(WAR) - We could be doing 3 - 4 skill chains if mage didn't have to heal
Me - Uh, I'm the only mage in this party, You can gladly pull whatever, but if I run out of mp,then you have to find a way not to die.
DNC(WAR) - Oh, I'm sorry, you are right.
The guy was b??????g about me to someone else, and accidentally sent me the tell.
I'm all for resting during a party to pull more mobs, but if they pull and the dnc refuses to use drain samba or healing waltz to aid me, I can't be very effective. The mobs were hitting hard, and tank and other were always near death when I run out of mp. So I need to heal my mp.
However, during party I did level 41.

Level: 57
PT setup:
WAR/SAM(me), RNG, SAM, MNK, RDM, THF
We get to camp and I'm thinking, 'Who's the tank?" Then I realize they want me to tank. If they had told me this, I would have come /NIN. But I figured that since we were mostly DDs, we could kill these birds fast enough where it wouldn't matter. I was wrong...
We were killing, but I couldn't keep hate cuz of all of the DDs, which was fine with me cuz I was dying fast.
The RDM...our only healer...spent most of the time casting Haste and Regen ON HIMSELF!!! He only ever used Cure II to cure us, which was nowhere close to being enough to keep us alive. Every fight I would get in red before I lost hate again. And after each fight, instead of healing ppl back to full (or decent), he'd leave us all in yellow and say in party chat "Why aren't you pulling?"
I'm thinking "God, I'm going to die..." Luckly he left the party cuz we didn't pull as fast as he wanted.

Not actually saying something stupid, but doing something stupid:
I was partying with a decent party in Qufim (as nin ._.),
We were waiting for someone and one of our DDs decided it was fine to fish. I said, hey that might be a bad idea if you fish up something we can't take on. He said it's fine, we'll probably get good exp off of it.
So then his very first fishing attempt fished up a Kraken, nice isn't it.
We whiped out lol
Then it took us forever to get things back together with undead and elementals crawling over the place.

After playing for so long, the only way I remember those sort of moments is with screenshots, which I have a lot of, and will post sometime in the near future.
However, one of the best moments I can remember was in Dynamis Sandy. It was with a dynamis linkshell, which was two fairly prominent linkshells combined. Filled with very experienced players. We're all kicking a** and punching the mobs out quickly. Suddenly an entire party disappears and is shown to be in the plateau. The log is shortly filled with every swear word imaginable, in all caps, from a RDM/WHM who had randomly cast Teleport-Holla and didn't notice. We STILL tease him about it.

I was partying with 2 other ls members. We had been playing for I belive an hour in C. Mire and our whitemage had to leave. So the leader told the rdm we had in our party to be main heal and the rdm goes "main heal no thanks" and takes off >.>;

during a mission
i don't remember what its called.
i think its a san'dorian mission and you fight a big skeleton and his buddies.
i was the paladin and i provoked and flashed everything i could to keep off the mages
douche: heal yourself dude
me: no way i'll get a spell off with 8 skeletons attacking me
douche: heal yourself!
me: interruption rate too high
douche: heal yourself you ******** idiot!
me: ******** you moron! you have as good a chance of healing me as MNK than me being able to cast a spell
haha
i died
but we won
i was happy
that's the life of a paladin

This is more of a "stupid thing a person did in your party." Well, we had a new member in our LS, and he was new to the game. We were all talking over X Box Live and such, we decided to take him to the Crag in La Theine (sp? Lol I pressed tab to try auto translate) and we came across a Battering Ram. The new player was a WAR who just hit level 10 with new gear and such. A party member told him "Look at that sheep! Go over there and admire it's majestic beauty!" so the WAR went over and did a "pet's " emote. The ram turned around and did a headbutt, sent the WAR flying in the air. He disappeared for a second or so, we ran up laughing. He was wearing level 10 Gear died while still in the air, got his equipment taken off. It was pretty hilarious. We still tease him about getting his armor literally "knocked off".
