Does anyone else think that David Gilmour's voice isn't that great anymore? I've been watching some of Pink Floyds most recents concerts and It seems David cant sing like he used to, Whenever he performs Comprotably Numb the back up soul singers are the only thing that really makes his voice sound better. He is still a good singer but his voice is outta tune I guess.

Of course it's not as great as it once was, but he is still a good singer, especially for his age. I just wish he'd do a reunion tour with PF, but as well all know that's not going to happen. :/

Well that may be true, but the dude is still a shredmaster, one of my favorite guitarist. Insanely skilled and a force to be reckoned with.

David Glimour has a solo album out...I think it's David Glimour, anyway it is awesome! It's almost like Pink Floyd except it's a lot more flowy and relaxing in my opinion

He's getting old and so is his voice.
I don't think he's really that bad, not something extreme. I know what you mean though. I just think it sounds scratchier and not as powerful. Maybe the power issue is what makes it seem out of tune..?
Who knows.

But don't worry Davy, we still love you.

His voice has only gotten deeper because he's gotten older. I still think he sounds good smile

I think his voice is still pretty good considering his age, Waters' has gone to shreds though o_o

David Gilmour's new album is very relaxed and pretty soothing, bar take a breath which I think spoils the mood of the album

I agree that he is in fact getting older. Oddly enough, has anyone noticed that his voice on "Time" is more powerfull then most of the other songs he sings on. It almost reaches that stage on "Young Lust", but is more prominent on "Time".

not many vocalists have the same voice as they did way back when but as long as it hasnt changed to much, Gilmore for instance, they are still fine and a treat to see live ^_^

I think with the older band change their voice is different from 20 years, i was watching rock honors The Who and it sounded really different but still good

Who has heard On An Island? I saw the concert/documentary and it was pretty good, I thought. I think his voice is just getting a little worn as he's aged, but with a little studio help, it sounds great.

Any thoughts?
