I've realized that I have no clue how to describe the certain sound that skuppy lost when Dwayne died. I just can't put my tounge on it. The closest thing I can get to it is "they lost their grit", but that just doesn't seem to cover it. They sound too much like Ohgr now and I'm not hearing ogre's natural voice tricks anymore. Also, every track on the GWotR album seems to have the exact same emotional level. What the ******** exactly happened after Dywane died?

Skuppy I will always be loyal to. Though, I must admit; they did lose something when Dwayne Rudolph Goettel died. But, they way I see this in total perspective is basically looking at it this way: Skinny Puppy (as many bands/acts) have 'pivotal' points in their careers. And what this means basically is; not necessarily being a turn for the worse or for the better. Just more along the lines of metamorphosis. Changing.

So when Dwayne died, it did miss something. It missed Dwayne's touch. A morph in their sound.

That is my unbiased opinion.

Now for my ******** biased opinion.

I ******** MISS DWAYNE'S SOUND, ********!!!!.

Who knows what Puppy would sound like if Dwayne was around still....

Sometimes bands just have to change and even though it is sad in most cases, it has to happen. People change, times change. I'm afraid that you can't cryogenticaly freeze a band after they are done making an album so that they can stay the same forever.

His death may have forced them to change their sound some too. It was a dark day when he died, but I think he was very self destructive. Too many drugs...

well that's a bit obvious.
