What do I do when everything is falling around me? I am uncertain that what I am hearing is God telling me to wait. And so when do I know whether it is or not. I ask for a sign, and I think I get one, but how do I know if I am just "reading" it wrong? AHHHHH help please!!!!! *sigh* cry

Remember, God just wants you to serve him where you're at. So many times Christians get rapped up in the "unseen" and the "greater callings". If you see someone who needs help, help them. You will never minister more than when you are helping the body of Christ. Things may be falling around you, but God has you in his hand. There is nothing to be afraid of because he is with you, and he will see you through everything. Patience is hard, but it always carries just rewards.

You're not alone! I am going through a very difficult time right now with my living conditions and where I may be living in a few months, as well as some problems with friends. But patience is key. It is a virtue but it is keeeeeeeey!!! Prayer, faith, and reaching out to others is important no matter where you are. I just got back in sync with God lately (I have been struggling, still am) because I went to see some friends who are strong believers. And just letting out all the sins I've kept to myself and God just flew out of my mouth. It HELPED. By giving me friends to talk to God has opened my eyes and let me see that some things I'm doing need to stop NOW not later. And that other things I can't control, I just have to trust Him with them. For example: I may not be able to go home at all, as in ever again. If I don't go home I may also lose my best friend who happens to be a guy I love (I won't say in love cuz some people are touchy about that). I wish I could do something, anything! But when I get down to it, I am powerless. I just have to trust this in God's hands and let His will be done. If I'm meant to go home and have the guy I love back He will let it happen. If not...well I'm gonna have to figure out a new life for me (because if I don't go home I'm pretty much in an even WORSE situation). I believe He let me move there for a reason, whether I'm to go back or not I don't know. I pray for signs too but no matter what He shows me I still think "is this me or was He telling me something?" Just know that no matter what as long as you keep Him close He will give you what's best for you.

My pastor has done a sermon on this sort of thing before. The places, in order, that you're likely to *get* an answer from is: 1) the Bible, 2) YOUR church, 3) a Christian friend, 4) VERY rarely circumstances and friends. O.o I believe that was all of them anyway.
Really, reading your Bible, praying, seeking out God's will, and doing so earnestly really DOES help. It sounds like a lazy answer "pray about it, read your Bible," but it is the best answer.
God will NEVER ask you to do something that is against what the Bible says. Remember that. But you have to know what's in the Bible in order to follow it. Reading your Bible faithfully everyday, and actually having a reading plan, as opposed to playing Bible roulette (randomly opening your Bible and reading), really does help.
Also, remember that what the entire world tends to want to do generally ends up being the opposite from what God wants. *hugs*

Trust God. Let him guid you. Often times it does seem as though our world is falling apert around us. But God is the rock lean on him and you will make it through the difficult times. God won't let you go. And when things hit rock bottom the only way to go is up heart

*starts tearing up* waaah!!! I'm such a horrible sister! I didn't even see this, therefore did not post in it. I am sooooo sorry, skreathe! Just remember, that the devil knows that God has something great planned for you, so he tries to kill you, or atleast your faith. Tries to do everything he can to ruin that wonderful plan. If that means everything seems like it's falling apart, so be it. That's his whole objective. 3nodding I know it's hard, but you should consider yourself lucky. Cuz if the devil didn't see you as a threat to his evil plans, he wouldn't be attacking you. heart biggrin
