I think they used to be punk in 39/hours but now they are more pop/rock/punk (and the "pop" stands for POPULAR)

Ukotai [Dr.Hook] Well, according to Real Player...they were Pop Punk in their earlier albums, but now they're more General Alternative. I'm not sure what exactly General Alternative is though. xp
What does Real Player know. As far as I am concerned Green Day is in a class of their own and Its called "The best ******** type of music!!!!!!!!!!!!" heart i concur heart

Well, I wouldn't say they're pop/punk...cause that might a little too...happy-happy joy-joy. I'd say they're hybrid-punk. Like a hybrid mix of punk and rock and alternative...maybe a hint of pop (but only 'cause everyone loves them).

Haruko Tomoe Discuss what genre you think they fall into.
Personally I'd say pop/punk, sad but true. They are damn good for their genre however. It really depends on what you consider 'punk' in the first place. sweatdrop pop-punk/alternative
