Honestly, I already have some idea what this dream means to me, but I was curious to see what you guys think of it. The timing of this dream was also kind of important to my interpretation of it so I'll include that. I had this dream when I was seven years old. Anyway, on to the dream.
(Note: In this dream I am an impassive observer, almost like a floating movie camera.)
It begins with a view of a barren landscape. The ground has a faintly reddish tint, even in the low light of the dream, and it appears to slope down all around (as though the scene is in a crater). In this blasted, rocky area there are long lines of people, male and female couples (all smiling and happy, I might add), heading towards what appears to be a very brightly lit basketball stadium (it's always looked like Bramledge Colliseum in Manhattan, KS to me, but this makes sense as that's where I grew up... I don't think this is of any relevance, but you may see it differently).
After a minute or two of panning over this scene the view switches to the inside of the stadium. As far as the eye can see (and far farther than the capacity of any basketball court or stadium) are high walled cubicles that appear to be (when I pass over them) dressing rooms in pairs. As they enter the building each couple, without question, heads for the nearest open set of rooms. From there I see (switching between the two) the situation of each member of the couple the dream focused on (I should mention that everyone is dressed in swimming attire, i.e. trunks for the men and bikinis and such for the women; also the couple in focus appears to be about 18-22 by my guess).
As soon as the door to the room is closed and locked a wall opens up and presents a change in swimming attire before the person in the room. However, the man is presented with female swim attire and the woman is presented with a selection of men's swim trunks. Without questioning the choices provided each picks one they like, strips and dons the new clothing. As soon as they do each instantly changes gender. They then leave their respective rooms and meet up with the person they came in with and leave as happy as ever. This is where the dream ends.
