Do I need to have the old patch files in order to play, or do I just need the most recent one? I want my felgaurd, dammit, but I don't have enough space left for the god damn download.

You only need the most recent FULL patch. This would be 1.12.2 (I think), then download 2.0, because there's no full 2.0 patch out yet.

I just completely wiped my Harddrive and reinstalled WoW.
There are 2 patches it requires you to download; one of them is everything up til Tuesday, the other is Tuesday's patch. You need both to play.
Try deleting some programs you don't use much. AIM, MSN, Limewire, X-Fire etc.
If you have any screenshots, they can take up a ton of room. If you have excess music/videos you don't listen/watch, delete them or burn them to a CD.
It might be a good idea to invest in some more memory, though. If you don't have enough for this Patch, chances are you will be lacking for the Expansion aswell.
