It was a rarety for the little cheetah girl to be awake this long after dark. It was almost midnight infact and the cheetah side of her blood line yawned informing herthat she should probably be asleep by now. She didn't want to sleep though. The quiet swoosh of the sea at night made her ears twitch and flicker, a light smile playing on her softly fuzzy maw. She was out watching the stars. Her stories spoke of stars in a million different ways, it was the lion kings idea though that braught her out here tonight to watch the skies and to imagine that maybe somone, or something, from some wheer else was watching over her. It was a fairy tale thought btu Colche had alot of those and she wasn't afraid to see them through.
Despite the lack of mufasa appearing to give her some dead guy wisdom, she was happy to be out. The clear dark sky presented the stars beautifully, a medeteranean sky which sparkled brightly the million lights twinkling millions of miles away. A yawn graced her maw and she sighed happily. Things had been changing recently, the world had become so much more crowded, there were new people and changed people every where. People she didn't know, she felt she was becoming a recluse, certainly those fuzzy edged cheetah feelings were pushing her away from society. She wanted to be alone, to walk about the endless swathes of the island as a lone predator as a cheetah should be, she had become almost independant though she still depended upon the cafeteria for her food source.Letting a soft sigh escape her lips she turned her gaze to the sea pulling her legs up to her chest. Things had changed, she was becoming somone else, somone whom wasn't dependant upon people any more. Perhaps she realised that it was more than a year ago that she first dropped on to this island cold, naked, frightened. Time passed the cheetah girl knew that, but time wasn't something she understood. Still, it really felt like she had been here forever and the island had grown around her. Her little 'family' had vanished amidst the arriving people she barely ever saw those people whom she cionsidered family. Even her mother figure was far too busy to visit her.
She hoped quietly everything was okay, though why she would feel they wern't was uncertain. Flopping down int he sand the blue eyed femme gave a sigh. Things were so peaceful, so quiet, yet her eyes were wide open. The skies were so beautiful.

Tommy pads quietly down the beach, lost in his own thoughts. He had just finished "The Island" when he had a sudden pang of regret. Regret for what, he wasn't sure. Maybe his life in general...who knows. Thoughts drift from his family, to what he'd be doing now if he had dropped out of the Air Force Academy, and back to where he is now...with meter long fingers and ears the size of saucers.
With a sigh he looks out on the ocean and lets his flattened nose take in the salty smell. He smiles slightly...
At least the view is nice.
After a moment though, he spots a lone figure out on the sand. With a frown, he walks over to her.

Rounded ears perk even in her laying possition, her sweet baby blue eyes swivell slightly before she sits. Her nose twitches gently, somone she doesn't know. A smile plays on her lips any way, her long tail swooshing through the sand her ears percked forwards and that long jet black hair flowing all around her with that soft warm salty breeze. "Hai" the little cheetah girl tilts her head slightly, brushing a strand of her extra long fringe from her large deep blue orbs.
Words escaped her as she looked over tommys vissage. She had been here long enough to see all kinds of changes and she couldn't help but wonder what the man was turning in to and would most certainly question it soon enough. Her gaze lifted upwards then, as she searched for something to start a conversation, she wasn't much of a conversationalist really, her words were childish but the word that came to her lips slipped out without a thought "pretty here" she states her gaze lilting and falling back upon the bat man. "Colche" she smiles, "Never seen before" a simple enough statment, but a statement none the less. "who be you?" she giggles lightly, she knew that wasn't the way it was supposed to be said, there were worse things in life than a few grammatical errors, Colche had long gotten used to the fact that as much as she'd improved, she would never be like everyone else. She was fine with that now, though she would certainly never stop trying to be better with her speach, little erros just didn't bother her the way they used to.

Tommy glances down as he sees Colche's ears swivel about. He can't help but smile at the pure innocence of that face. From the eyes to the voice, Colche unknowingly just made Tommy's mood brighten a bit. He allows a grin to break on his face. "Hai yourself, fuzzy," he says in a friendly tone. With a deep breath and a look around he soon responds, "Yeah...I hear ya...I love the way it looks out here at night...heh, and smells."
He looks back down at Colche, wondering to himself if he should sit down next to her or if she'd consider that rude. It sounds as if English wasn't her first language, and Tommy had never really been all that knowledgable of foreign cultures.
"Colche? That's a nice name...never heard it before," he says with a smile. His smile turns to a grin as she giggles...
"Name's Tommy."

"Tommy" she licks her lips as if she was omehow tasting the name that went with the features before her "okay." She grins she could have put a few different names to the man though her cartoon refernces wern't always appreciated. A small giggle lifted her extremely furry features again "Kinda like Bartok" she couldn't help it, the man struck her as a bartok, the little white bat from anastasia, her sweet blue eyes twinkled happily as she looked at Tommy trying to wade her way through all the chracters from the cartoons and the books she read. "Nope definately a Bartok" her tail flickered happily as she said it her ears perked forwards making her furry features look alert. That cheetahry face hardly ever looked sombre the way it should, she pretty much held a constant sweet smile upon her maw.She enjoyed this life she lived.
"Wanna sit? Playing stars" she tilted her head curiously again brushing a strand of ehr dark hair out of her eyes once again, it seemed she was having some trouble keeping this loose strandfrom her eyes tonight she even blew at it before giving it up as a bad job. Still a loose strand wasn't about to dampen her mood,s he liked having people around her when she could, the little girl in her enjoyed company, liked to make friends, it was only the stubborn cheetah which ran, quite literally, through her veins that longed for a solitary life.

Tommy's smile falters for a brief second as she mentioned Bartok. It comes back full force in a chuckle though as he got the reference. "Nah, I'm not that cute." He grins to himself for a moment before his face lights up from a quote from the movie. "'acourse, I'd give her a HAH, and a HIYA, and a WHOOOEY! And then I'd kick her, sir!" he says in a rather good impersonation of the voice of Bartok.
Laughing to himself, he nods and sits down next to Colche, "Playin stars?"

Colche giggles her bright baby blue eyes beaming as the man gave her a very good bartok impression, her features, if possible, spread in to an even wider grin making those sweetly furry features beam. "Tis good" she puurrs, her voice vibrating slightly as that natural kittyish puurr echoed from her chest.
"Uh huh, stars" she points upwards with a very furry padded finger. "Needs names, lots and lots" she grins, Colche unlike most people in the world didn't know that the stars were already set in to constellations so she'd set about nameing them herself. Turning her sweet blue eyes upwards she points at what is called in most circles the big dipper, "thas pan which makes chocolate cake" she beams "for stars 'o course" she nods an affirmative, the big dipper was the first constellation she had noticed, the first picture in the sky which she had decided needed a name. Of course it looked to her like the pan that the lunch room lady made chocolate gake in before putting it int he oven to bake, with a handle, but still, it's name was pretty correct to her. "Tommy can help, need lotsa good names for star shapes." She grins, this was a game worthy of staying up until midnight for.

Tommy studies Colche for a moment, trying to guess her age. She acted to young...but her body looked older...with a shake of his head, he just grins and decides to go along with it. For a brief moment, he wonders what she's talking about as he tries to followe her finger to the night sky. After a moment though, he gets it and ahhs, with a nods of his head. "Pan, huh?" he says with a grin. This reminded him of the many times his younger cousins would prattle on and on, explaining every day occurances with fantastical stories.
"Yeah, that's a good name for it." He points with a long, spindly finger toward the little dipper. "What do you call that one? Little pan?"

Colche giggles "no silly" she states as if there was an obvious anser to the name of the little dipper. The little cheetah girl beams broadly her blue eyes sparkling "upsidedown baseball cap" she giggles her tail giving a long slow swish through the sand, her fuzzy ears twitched as she looked at Tommy, he seemed fun, it was always nice to speak to somone whom wasn't too sad about being here.
"Unno whatsa name thats" she points to a line of three simple bright stars, orion belt to everyone else she hadn't put together the whole picture of the warrior in the stars. "little line" she pauses looking thoughtful "hmm.." she looks to tommy for inspiration, her head tilting in that cattish manner once again.

"Upside down baseball cap, huh?" Tommy says with a frown which turns into a grin and a nod soon after. "Sounds good to me." Tommy grins to himself. This was what he needed...it's been too long since he just let his mind go away from the island for a little while and just...talk with someone. No matter how childish. Strangely enough, this has been the most normal conversation he's had in a long while.
"Which one? Ohhhh...Hmm...How about fat man's belt? Or even better...it kinda looks like a tiara, doesn't it?"

Colche beamed broadly, a tiara? Like a princess tiara? She nodded "I likes Tiara!" she puurres happily that puurr resounding from her chest, that kittyish sound had been with her for a long time and it just happened naturally when she was happy, which was an awful lot of the time really. "Princess Tiara" she grins at Tommy, he was fun, she liked it when people were willing to spend time with her, to play a bit and forget their worries.
Alot of people had worries which confused Colche no end. She scanned the sky once more and sighed gently. "No princesses up there tho, teddy bear though!" she giggles she had just spotteda bear in the sky. "Kinda like chubbs.." he glassy blue eyes shimmered happily, it had been a long time since she had seen the 'pooh bear' of the island, it had been a long time since she had truely seen anyone. Had she become so much of a recluse she wondered, or she would have if she had known the word 'recluse.' Taking a gentle breath she looked to tommy, her perfect baby blue eyes fixed ont he man her lips turned in a slight smile. "You nice Tommy, should come and see, lives in seventeen, like age" she grins happily, if Tommy had known her when she first come to the island he would know that her speech patterns were greatly improved from how they used to be, though still childish in a way, she knew and understood things better now than ever she used to.
She was always happy to meet a new friend, Tommy had definately gone on ehr list of friendly new people, though he obviously wasn't that new, their first meeting was certainly going over swimmingly.
