Oh, so she was one of those types. Thinking she was higher off than everyone simply because she got to flounce around in some dress. Perfect. And he was by no means poor--in fact, he was one of the more wealthy middle class. Living with a noble tended to have that effect. "Kind? I'm surprised you know what that means." He settled back against Ra'ael, observing her with an amused quirk of his brow. "If by warning, you meant giving me absolutely no time to react before your beast smashed me to the ground, then you can hardly be surprised when I fail to see the logic in thanking you for it." Her hypocrisy made him bark with laughter, shaking his head. "And the opinion of a lass who's obviously so much higher than the common people means little to me. And does it make you feel big by assuming everyone's beneath you? You automatically assumed I was an idiot, according to your logic--must you constantly defy yourself?"
Ra'ael arched his neck under her scrutiny, holding himself proudly, wings loose at his sides. He eyed her disdainfully, looking down at her from that great beak of his. Talons clicked, and when she approached, Ra'ael growled deep in his chest. One wing extended as though to smash her along the side of the head--but Loch was faster. His arm took the brunt of the attack, and with a glower, the griffin reluctantly settled, obviously itching to get his talons on her.
Loch was barely even tipsy--she must have had a nose like a hound if she could smell alcohol on him. He was no drunkard, and he certainly didn't slop it all over himself. Poor delicate flower--how awful this must have been for her. "You're simply contradicting yourself again." He said quiet calmly, idly brushing at his chest where she had prodded him. "My lady, you're beginning to cause a scene," Loch grinned, amused at how riled she had become. "You obviously expected me to move--you tried to warn me, didn't you?" Her jabs about Ra'ael, made his eyes narrow. "I advise you not to drag my beast into this. If you wish to quarrel and carry on your tirade with me, so be it." That was the only warning she would receive. "I never said I would be so much of a fool to stand in front of a carthorse--I merely assumed you and your beast had more intelligence than a carthorse, and therefore possessed the wit and deft skill to step around me." He swept into another bow, grinning at her shoes before straightening. "Forgive this simple-minded hunter, my lady?"

ARRRGG this man was infuriating! back home Alice never had to deal with people like this, and he was STILL fighting her! what was up with that!
flinching slightly as the griffin attempted to strike her. but only shot it a cold glare, purple eyes narrowed. then back to the hunter.
letting out an annoyed breath and lifted her dress once again. "Middle class" she sneered "no matter how high of middle class you get you'll still be below the Nobles. and that includes knowing a noble. its cute you think you can compare" she said
"hum" she said lightly reaching up with a soft hand and mockingly smacking him on the cheek a couple of times "your forgiven." then spun around to walk toward Jean,
"and you might want to trained your griffin a little more. attacking a full grown griffin? she's going to get her little pink rear handed to her"
James just remained standing, staring at the ground, with a glance up every now and then to his mistress wishing she would hurry up and walk over to them, at home she could get away with this. but James was worried with how normal people would end up treating her if she kept mouthing off to them

The hunter tossed his head idly, grinning. "Ahh, will I? I'm already living in the household of a noble--I think I'm doing rather well for myself." He wasn't using Isilde simply for that, of course, but the tiny buzz of alochol he had was enough to loosen his tongue somewhat. The pats he received on the cheek was made him snort, amused, the back of one fist idly rubbing said cheek afterwards. "Such a pleasure, my lady, thank you for your gracious and underserved kindness." Lap it up, dear princess, Loch's good mood seemed to be returning.
"She?" The hunter roared with laughter, ignoring how Ra'ael's ears swept back. "The beast's a male, lassie, and he's trained to defend. Judging on his reaction, I think he's very well trained indeed--he went up against your brute, didn't 'e?" Loch chuckled and gave the griffin's shoulder a pat, ignoring how Ra'ael thrust his head forward to snap at the side of his face, coming only a few inches short. The griffin was not amused that Loch seemed so easily satisfied with forgiveness.

Alice paused for a moment. lips separating slightly in surprise as she looked slowly from the hunter to his pink MALE griffin. "a male" she said "oh poor beast" she said. she could tell the griffin was not amused in the least at this, then again she could not blame her... him... >.> <.<
nor did she blame it for being a guard griffin, Jean was one as well, though she didn't put him on the job till he was an adult. different people different methods she supposed. she didn't have to agree with them,
turning her back on him she strode over to Jean and James,
James bowed politely to her as she reached up to put a hand on Jean's back, letting it slide off as she continued to walk away. the Griffin getting to his feet and with out even looking at the hunter and the pink Griffin he followed his Mistress.
James tipped his hat to the hunter silently then followed after the griffin.
Alice was NOT in a good mood after that. cheeks pink slightly, and expreshion very very annoyed. and it showed from the way she walked. the people here where poor, stupid and smelled funny! why did she even bother coming here. her mother warned her about this,
