I would be pretty scared, all these people dying so quickly. I would be afraid that people close to me would be dead.
On the upside, I would love for L to be real.
However, think of all the students that have been expelled from schools for creating "Death Notes".

hah, if i had the death note, i would become a god, plus, all those who would oppose me, or annoy me, would be the first to die. besides, i think that i can outdo L, i mean, come on, just give him a large amount of sugar and wait for the diabetes to kick in, we all know that is what happened to him.

That would be very bad.
It's only human nature to want to use a death note to punish criminals/people who have hurt others before, for the "greater good", only to eventually become twisted by the power...
...It would take someone with a lot of will to destroy the death note, and even then, you never know if a Death God would suddenly feel very bored and take an interest in the human world (like a certain Ryuk...), and the world is quite a big place.
