Actually, that's just their digital singles name, the real name of the cd is Five Score and Seven Years Ago. I already have the digital single and it is amazing, but my advice is get the cd "Anatomy of Tongue and Cheek" gold edition, even if it's just for song number 8, it is amazing and moving, it's called "For the Moments I Feel Faint." Relient K is awesome, I met the bassist that founded RK and played with them up to there last album (MMhMM.) He is amazing and founded screamo band Inhale/Exhale, I got all there autographs after seeing them last night. He's a cool dude, I hope RK can still stay good without him, but this new single shows they probably will.

RK is awesome because they use pronouns to replace the words 'God' and 'Jesus,' so you can show it to your secular friends and wait til there like, 'this band is cool!' And then be like, it's Christian rock, and help them find a connection with God. Lots of big Christian bands do that, but with Relient K you can actually go back through the songs and find the Christian meanings and actually understand what it's talking about.

yeah but the replaceing can also be dangerous, b/c it could in ways take it away from God if they are not careful. they are doing god at the moment, but it is a fine line

I think that secular or Christian they're awesome, but with songs like Falling Out and More Than Useless you can tell they're talking about God, and notice how like I said they use pronouns, but they always use the same one, "you," and they almost never use "she" or "her." Also, in the "Be My Escape" video, you see the photo of the girl and you might think the songs about the girl, but notice the photo is inside this house they're trying to escape and the escape isn't the girl, but girl problems could be one of the things they're escaping from or they would have the girl outside the house, and not inside something they're trying to escape, so even they're single, "Be My Escape" is about God.

oh i completely agree. and i know they are a christian band, i have no doubt about that. i'm just saying it can be a dangerous line to walk if pronouns and replacements for God's names is used all the time. in some ways it becomes watering down the truth. i don't feel as though they've reached that point yet, and i hope they never do

Well they haven't said God or Jesus on their last 2 albums, but you can tell there's a Christian meaning, but that's mostly because they have to cater to a Christian audience and the MTV audience, because now you'll see them on MTV and you'll see there songs on "Wow: Now That's What I Call Music" along side sluts like Brittny Spears, so they sort of have to cater to a secular and Christian world, but the meanings in their song definetedly yell CHRISTIAN! I just got their cd "Anatomy of Cheek and Tongue" Gold Edition, but I haven't gotten a chance to pop it in yet.

I've heard them say it in "I So Hate Consequences" and maybe one other songs, but not like in Cheek and Tongue.
