Noe had opted for the bench, his natural skittishness (as well as his generally weak immunity) making him wary of the grass. He listed to the selection in silence before replying. "No, thanks... I... don't really like sweets," he murmured with a small shrug. It wasn't exactly true - while he had never been particularly crazy about candy, he didn't dislike it, either. He wasn't exactly sure why he had turned down the offer of food - after all, he was beginning to get hungry - but his paranoia seemed to be kicking in now more than ever now that he was outside the confines of the hospital.
Noe frowned slightly and rubbed at his milky eye with the back of one of his hands. It was itching again - something that annoyed him to no end - but he wasn't about to tell the doctor, lest he sweep Noe away back to the hospital.

“Well, more for me then.” As he sat down upon the bench, Yuu pulled out the package of licorice then began to tear off a short length. He had no qualms about eating his own candy, as he liked it very much, thank you. He stuck one end of the candy in his mouth as his fingers curled around it, and glanced towards Noe, gesturing to his face. “Don’t rub at it, it’ll make it worse. Try closing your eye, it should tear up a little bit and make it better.” He was more observant than people gave him credit for.
For instance, he knew that Noe wasn’t given a day off, and he knew that the hospital would be mad at him for not bringing him back as soon as he found him - but really, Yuu didn’t care. Sometimes a guy just needed an escape. It was a pity that Noe was such a fragile boy - he wanted to take him to go ride roller coasters and play laser tag and whatever else made a person full of exhilaration. But a day sitting at the park was good too.
It was unlikely that anything bad would happen, but now that he had that thought, it made him nervous. “Say, did you bring a mask with you?” He asked, gesturing to his face as if that would explain it all, “You know, just in case.” One couldn’t be too careful these days. He had his own mask, a deep dark red one that matched his sweater almost perfectly.
((Very cute drawing, as always!))

Noe stared at the other for a moment before doing what he was told, slowly lowering his hand until it rested in his lap. He slowly closed his itching eye - and it worked. A small line of tears formed at the brim of his eye and soothed the area. "Nnnn... thanks," he murmured slowly, resisting the temptation to rub at his now watering (but no longer itchy) eye.
Noe was lost for a moment, as the question was quite sudden, but then nodded. He tugged at a long, thin silver chain that hung loosely around his neck until whatever was hanging on it slipped out from under his shirt. It was a mask -- it hadn't been visible before because, as always, Noe was wearing his very baggy clothes, which quite disguised the lump.

“That’s good.” Yuu nodded in affirmation as he gnawed upon his chewy candy, his eyes closed as he listened to the laughs of small children and the tinkle of bells on an ice cream vendor’s cart. “Listen,” he breathed, tilting his head, “Happiness only comes in fleeting moments. You should always catch it where and when you can.” With that, he stood again, dusting his pants with long strokes before he turned around, extending a welcoming hand towards the boy. “Well then, we should be getting back, shouldn’t we? We wouldn’t want to miss our daily scolding...” ....
“...Broke into the Choragi Estate. Luckily there have been no reported injures but the theft and damages are estimated to be...” Elsewhere in the city, Emmanuel stared at the glowing box in the window, mesmerized by the flickering images that flashed between a newscaster and stills of his old master. He reached out towards the glass, then pulled his hand back as it struck his fingers, pulling them close to him in surprise. The outside world was a very interesting place indeed, he thought to himself. Suddenly, he was snapped out of his thoughts by a piercing scream.
“AN ANGEL MOM!” A little girl shouted in terror, and her mother reacted appropriately, scooping her up to back away slowly. An angel he was indeed, and he fit the image like the subject of a Renaissance painting. His hair was gold and flowed far down his back in spiraled curls, the ends of two extended wires swinging along with it. As he turned around to see the people who made such awful sounds, it was clear that he was wearing nothing more than a flowing white cloth tied around his waist, and his top half was sculpted to perfection, marred only by a few odd looking scars upon his left breast. “Who?” he asked innocently, then took a step forward, watching the pair with bright eyes, “Me?”

((Ohdears. O: ))
Noe frowned softly. He... didn't want to argue. THat would seem suspicious. But he didn't want to go anywhere near the hospital. A seathing mental battle ensued, in which his fearful side eventually won out. "I... alright..." he murmured slowly, keeping his eyes downcast. He had agreed... but he couldn't help the reluctance and small note of fear in his voice. He didn't like what they did at the hospital. It scared him... deeply. He hated all the needles and the smell of death...
((I'd post for Mercy, but with the scene as it is.... most likely is that one of them will end up dead because Mercy shows no mercy. xD;;;; ))

Yuu felt bad for Noe. It was clear that he didn’t want to go to the hospital, and who could blame him? Yuu was a doctor, and he didn’t want to go to that hospital either. It was disgusting, ill lit and completely unorganized. It was no wonder that there wasn’t a single smiling patient there, aside from the -real- crazies. “Don’t look so down,” he frowned. Oh how he wanted to just say that they didn’t have to go back, and that they could spend the rest of the afternoon wandering around, but that just wasn’t plausible. “I tell you what. Why don’t we go out again sometime soon? This time together. We can buy you some new...” His gaze traveled down across the other boy, studying him carefully. “...shoes. Do you like shoes?” .... It seemed that the mother and daughter were not the only ones who recognized him for what he was, as there was a large bang, the glass shattering behind him. Emmanuel didn’t understand what a gun was, but he understood that someone was trying to hurt him. His gaze zeroed in on the man who had fired the shot, his grass hued eyes neither filled with malice or fear of death. There was only one thing he feared, and that was returning to Choragi. “Why are...” he began, only to have his words cut off with a sudden burst by his ear.

"You think they'd... allow it?" he asked slowly, blinking up at the other. Now that he thought about it, it would probably be best for him to return with the doctor. Then it might seem as if he had taken him out with him and merely forgotten to check in with the other medics... yeah.... THat might... that could possibly work.
He was startled from his thoughts at the last question and he shrugged. He had never thought much about how he looked or anything.... Perhaps that was the affect of having lived nearly your entire life in a hospital. "Nnnn... I dunno. They're just there to... protect my feet. So they're useful...."
((Poor Emmanuel. I wish I could post something up for him... but, like I said... Mercy will only try to eliminate him.... And Eden would only furthur mess things up. D: Too bad they're both stupid, huh (or, rather, Eden is. Mercy is just insensitive).))

((lol Im just entertaining myself, so don't worry about it! I'll continue for Manny later.)) “Of course,” Yuu replied, a little bit too cheery, “And your feet take you wherever you want to go. The better the shoe, the better the place, I like to think.” Yuu’s own shoes were a rich red leather, dark and vibrant without being showy. Fine shoes were hard to find for men, but he managed to do well. “So tell me something about yourself. A favorite, perhaps.”

Noe looked slightly skeptical of the other's comment, doubting that it applied to everyone. No matter how nice his shoes were, he wasn't willing to bet that anyone would be at all happy to let him leave the hospital and roam around. It was exceptionally unlikely (other than Doctor Yuu's apparent promise).
Again, the question caught him unawares. What did he... like? He wasn't sure. He could probably rattle off a whole list of things he didn't like (the foremost being hospitals and the like), but the opposing end was... harder to think of. After a long moment of deliberation, he finally spoke.
"I... like the sun...." It beat flourescent lighting, at least.
