============================= This section needs an announcement (that or maybe I'm just bored sweatdrop )
So this is like the "introduse yourself" on the main page but... well.
Tell us what you like to write or read. Do you have a website that you post at? Like Fanfic.net? What poets do you like? Do you put pictures to your poems? How'd you get your idea? Who told you "You should write more"?
something like that mrgreen

Me first!
I did a little writeing but kepted it all to myself but then a teacher told me I should let people read them and I liked doing it emo
I did poems, some reason people liked the long, personal once I did... kind of imbaressing redface
Then I finally sat down and did fanfics My spelling and grammer suck but after lots of practise... and people who helped me but I pretty much bit off their heads mad I'm vary touch about what people think... I'm doing better (both sweatdrop )
on Fanfic.net my Author name is Lonely Gravity (it's my poet name xp the name has it's meaning to me) I have one Tetris story, a funny Gundam Wing short and mostly Wiess Kruez (I need to finish them)
I'm a big fan of maybe Wiess Kruez Fanfic Authors and I was sad when they took out the NC-17 becuase a lot of the storys I was reading where there (not all of them where p0rn, it was just for adult humor)
I don't really have the names of Poets I like (other then Poe twisted ) I like those books with lots of random ones that tell about the Poet and what was going in their head when they write the Poem. It helps me understand what the poem was really about.
I like horror books: Stephen King, Laurell K. Hamilton, R.L. Stine I'm working on the Brothers Grimm right know, and a collection of short storys called Isaac Asimov's Werewolves (can you tell I like werewolves?)

This is a good idea for the thread. smile
Let's see...I haven't posted much on here, but I hope to get around to some more eventually. When I feel like it.
I started out writing poems. A few years ago I had to take a class called Publish It. It was pretty much all about writing. We had small contests between the class, and I won at least second place in all of them, which was a major confidence booster. Plus my teacher, we'll call her Ms. M, just made it all so fun. So I started writing on my own, entered a few contests and got a few poems published, and Ms. M brought me to a teen arts festival and had one of my poems critiqued by professional writers.
I slowly got more into writing and found my way onto a fanfiction site, which is when I first started writing stories. I wrote fanfic for a while before moving on to original work, though I still dabble in it every once in a while. After I started writing stories (short and novel length), I liked it more than poems, because rhythm has always been an issue with me and it took a lot of work for me to make it right.
Writing just became something I loved. No one ever really told me that I should keep doing it (except my mom rolleyes ), I just did. In fact, the first time I was told I had a future in writing was this summer, by an author who was holding a you-write-it book deal. He put up the first chapter, another person would submit the next chapter, etc., and if he liked the finished product then he would publish it. It was never finished because some idiot wrote total crap that the author didn't delete like he should have, but I submitted a chapter and he left me a comment saying that I had talent and a bright writing future ahead of me.
I've posted work on various websites. fanfiction.net -- ThePhreak fictionpress.com -- ThePhreak livejournal (a challenge on 100_situations) -- The_Phreak a friend's website that might still have some left (youfanfiction.tk) -- I Want Attention
I like Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Shakespeare, but poems aren't something I read regularly.
My favorite authors are Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child collaborating.
I don't usually put pictures with my writing unless it's a picture that inspired it in the first place.
Anything can give me an idea--something someone says, a picture, a daydream, a dream, a nightmare, an event, a bumper sticker. Anything.
Wow, that's long sweatdrop

I write a lot of poems. At first like many people I wrote poems down into a journal and kept them tucked away. I made the mistake of writing a poem down onto the back of a chem test once and the teacher read the poem, correct the spelling mistakes and told me that I should submit it to the high school Lit Mag. Most of my poems are published on Fiction Press. I've also written several fanfictions, most of which are written out to songs (aka song-fics) and can be found at theboards.net. Mostly I write poetry just to pour my emotions out. I keep them burried pretty well and don't like to show them much or at all (my friends have called me emotionless in the past). Poetry is a way for me to vent my emotions and often times keep myself sane. My favorite poets are Robert the Bruce (scottish poet) and Edgar Allan Poe.

I tend to write fanfictions and have been known to write a bit of original fiction from time to time. My fanfictions are usually based upon mangas. I hope to some day write and publish a novel of my own. My works can be read at fanfiction.net under lazy Kairu sama

Hi, I'm Legend *waves* ^^ I generally write poems and fan-fics. I post my poems on my RP website and Fictionpress.com, occasionally, and I post my fan-fics on the ever popular Fanfiction.net. My name on Fanfiction.net is Chary Moota - feel free to check out my work! I like Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson, stuff like that...I haven't really read any poetry books lately >_< I also like Langston Hughes. I don't put pictures to my poems that often. I get ideas from personal experiences and my feelings and such. I guess my parents encourage me, and my 7th grade English teacher encouraged me back in 7th grade (2 years ago) to write more. We had to write a lot of poetry in 7th grade...yeah. Also, one of my poems was published in the school literati that year, and another 2 were published this year. That made me feel all smiley happy, so yeah, being published is good encouragment ^^ Hope I did that right ><

I think im gonna like this guild alots.
Well my "Pen Name" is The Ikaru.
I love to write poems, stories, personal thoughts, rants, and such.
Ive never been to fanfic.net but now i think im gonna go check it out.
Well i dont really know many "professional" poets but my favorite poet Would have to be my good friend Minnie because her poetry is so powerful and meaningful.
I normally dont post pictures with my poems but if theres a really good picture that goes very well with the poem i will put it up.
I get my ideas from many things: family, friends, anime, movies, music. pretty much anything can inspire me.
My mom always said that with enough inspiration i could one day write something that would cause the world to end all wars...or something like that. My family has always been my biggest inspiration as well as my biggest supporters.
well i guess thats everything i should be posting something in just a few minutes so yeah... sweatdrop

Meh, I'm Toon, also xxpiratexmuffinxx. My mule decided she was not fit to post stories because she has 24/7 writer block.
I post a lot of odd, nonsensical fanfictions whenever I make them. Basically, in a nutshell~ I can't stay on one thing. O_O I gotta move, feel the flow of stupid rushing through my words! Something that can't be done too easily in a story for me. Grr.
I'm going to be posting some fun fanfics I've come by though, maybe one or two I've made in the midst of my "OMG I HAZ AN IDEA!" moments.. they never finish unless people tell me to continue or something. I've currently got a Power Puff Girls fanfic in here, it's got an interesting idea, CHECK IT OUUTT? *.*
Anywhoo, if I post a fanfic from another person, it's gonna be good. ^^ Mostly D.Gray-man stories... Oh how I'm in love with the manga. heart

I don't particularly like to write because I get too caught up with the minor details. I love to read books, novels, mangas, and other reading materials. I don't post anything. I enjoy reading fanfics on Fanfiction.net. I've been going on there for years! Too many but here goes:Edgar Allan Poe ( heart emotion_bigheart ), William Shakespeare, Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Lewis Carroll, Robert Frost, John Keats, e e Cummings, Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Sylvia Plath, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Lord Byron, and Homer. heart Used to but not anymore. From school. No one. xd
