So many times, so many places she had been to and forgotten so much already. She cursed her memory inwardly, hating that even the fondest memories she had experienced recently were becoming vague, clouded by the unpleasant memories of her past. Oh how she hated it, Ryu'Rage despised them all with a passion.
She didn't bother to hide her wings, use the allusion she could to appear normal, she would be masking what she was, though sometimes she yearned to sue the allusion. Problem was, she couldn't remember how, she remembered her sister telling her somehting about it when she was a mere cub. But then again, anything her sister was going to show her turned to dust that fateful day she lost them all.
Pity. Pain. Everywhere she looked when her eyes were clouded by the horrors of the past. She came back here, the Pridelands, for a reason, a mission of a sort. Perhaps to find Jini or Siltim, seek comfort once more. SHe felt too cold recently, too alone. She knew she was a danger at times, but that did not stop the fact that she hated the cold and being alone with herself, so that her nightmares would return and seek havoc upon her well being.
Where would they be? Rage wasn't too sure, she was walking aimlessly through the tall green grass hoping to see their figure on the horizon, or nearer then that would be nice. Perhaps somehting else this way would come, but they would run woudln't they? She was a goddess with wings, the feathers upon ehr wings stained with blood, would others fear her again. Or would some be sensible like Siltim and Jini? She wasn't sure,s he hoped she wouldn't get hurt today, her body ached today.

Ezeoha was nearly invisble when his body wa shielded by the tall, green grass. His coat was a rich golden color, and thus it was difficult to spot him when he truly did not wish to be spotted. Those times were rare, but every once in awhile he just did not wish to be seen. Every once in awhile he did not wish to flirt, did not wish to put up with gazing at so many pretty females. Even a pimp had a life, had things they did instead of pimp. Ezeoha usually spent most of his time with his family, but even Ezeoha needed a little time alone.
So, he was pushing through the tall grass, the looming black figure of Ryu'Rage easily mistaken for a rock from a far distance. He did not sotp because of this assumption, and just continued on his way. Perhaps he had thought about sunbathing on that rock, but as soon as he got closer whatever ideas he had once posessed were gone. What he saw now was definitely not a rock.
He was pulling out of the taller grass, the blades framing his sleek and elegant form. His red eyes were wide with interest, because what he saw before him was not even a normal lion. The great black wings, seemingly dipped in blood, arched out of the lioness' back. No, she was certainly not normal... but a goddess. Ezeoha could recognize a divine being when he saw one, because lions today just weren't born with wings.
What he noticed second was that she was gorgeous, and it shocked him to know that her beauty had came second to her divinity. Perhaps he wasn't very well into the practice of flirting these days. Even when he spoke, not a hint of flirtation could be found. "Hello, I am Ezeoha... and welcome to the Pridelands."
He could be a very good greeter when he set his mind to it.

She was tired today, felt cold, not on the outside but the inside, it chilled against her heart, had her close her eyes more then once. She contemplated on taking the red cloth from her leg to wrap around her eyes, so that she could not see anything for a moment or two. To not see hte red on her wings, to see nothing at all. Rage despised herself for everything she was, everything she appeared to be.
The wind ruffled her longer fur atop her head, blowing some strands into her view, she did not move them, it masked what her silver hues set upon. She curled her tail around herself a bit and breathed deep, her body aching, she hated this life, wished for another. Though it seemed like she would never be granted such a thing.
Then a voice. She lifted her head and her eyes set upon a golden figure. When had he gotten there? She hadn't heard him come, strange, perhaps she was too tired today. "Hello Ezeoha," she spoke softly, getting use to using her voice in the presence of another. He was so large, appeared so noble, perhaps one of the royals here? "I do hope I have not intruded here...I came..." she stopped. Trying to remember what she had come here to do, she cursed her memory, now she didn't know exactly why she was here.
"I came for something, but do not remember now it seems...I do hope I have not broken any laws here...I must say I am not familiar with those who rule here, only a few friends I have made...they have...comforted me in the past..." she spoke absent mindedly. Yes, Jini and Siltim. They were here, helped her, amde her feel not as alone as she always did.
SHe curled her wings closer to herself, as if trying to hide behind them, and to also gain a little warmth, even out in the sun she was cold. She did not understand it at all.

He could tell that something was not alright with the goddess. She looked sad, and did not seem to be able to sort out her own thoughts. She was lost, Ezeoha realized with a disturbing sense of pity, lost in her own mind without a way to climb out of the dark pit she had settled herself into without some assistance. Ezeoha had no idea how he could tell this about her, but he could, and he resolved to try and help her out of that dark hole in her mind. He would guide her, drive away that feeling of cold that she could not shake.
"It is alright, you are not intruding," he said in a warm, soft, comforting tone. He was doing everything within his power to make her feel welcomed here, to let her know that she would not be chased away. The Pridelands would not chase away someone who meant them no ill harm. He knew the lands he lived in well enough to know that Rage would not be turned away simply because she stepped onto the lands without permission. Besides, Ezeoha had now given her his permission, and he doubted many people would turn her away when Ezeoha wanted her around.
"No laws have been broken, do not worry yourself over it. You can stay here for a little while and relax, lay down and soak in the sun. It's a nice day out, and it'd be a pity to waste it." It was Ezeoha's favorite pasttime, soaking in the sun. He wasn't entirely sure that it was something Rage would enjoy doing, but anything that proved to be a distraction from her brooding thoughts would probably be good for her. All he was doing was trying to help, because he had never truly seen someone so lost.
"Perhaps I can help you find your friends, so that they may comfort you again." Ezeoha knew most of the lions in the Pridelands, and if Rage's friends were here, Ezeoha would help her find them. Of course, if that was what she wanted. Ezeoha did not seem to mind doing whatever she wanted, as long as it would wipe away that lost expression upon her face.

Ryu'Rage listened to his voice, it was low, soothing, she closed her eyes and just listened, it was calming her down on the inside. At the notes thatshe wasn't intruding was good, but the talk of the light made her growl inwardly, dark half of her hating the mentioning of anything light. She tried to keep everything inside, she didn't want Ez making her leave, she didn't want to, she didn't want to be alone anymore but she was still a hazard to everything, even herself and she knew it all too well.
"No!" she said quickly, then stopped and put her paws over her head, "I mean...I don't want to burden them right now I-I'm sorry I did that...it's just...hard sometimes..." she curled up and bit more. Folded her wings over her shoulder to try and hide the circular symbols on her shoulders and forearms, but she could still see them with her silver hues.
"Such a kind heart you have...to let me stay..." she noted out loud, seeing no rage in his heart/ Which was good, she didn't know how well she would be able to restrain the beast inside. She was thirsty, hungry and tired. Too tired to go find water, too dehydrated to hunt, too tired for anything other then laying down.
"They must like you here, is it nice here to have as a home?" she had never known a real home. She could've sworn she might've asked this question to Jini or SIltim, even both, but she couldn't remember.

Ezeoha's face remained passive at her exclamation of 'no', though his mind was racing. It was clear that something was eating her up from the inside, something was gnawing on her mind and pushing her towards the edge of insanity. The right decision to make would be to escort her out of the Pridelands before she proved to be a danger, but Ezeoha did not want to turn her away. He wanted, in fact, to help her, and not simply because she was beautiful, but because a little part of him reached out to her, just wanted to help her because she needed help.
Slow steps carried him forward, until he was right besides Ryu'Rage, and then ever so carefully/delicately he layed down next to her, curling his body against her form. It was no method to put himself close to her, not for devious reasons. Ezeoha was letting her know that she wasn't alone, that he was going to be there to help her through whatever she was going through. Ezeoha was offering his friendship, his aid to her. All this was spoken just by his actions, just by putting himself close to her when he suspected that it was not the wisest of decisions.
"There is no need for you to apologize, don't worry about it. It must be hard for you, whatever you're going through, and though I don't know what it is, I promise I'll help you in the best way that I can." He made no move to get closer to her, for truly they were as close as they could get, and he still was not sure if she would understand the meaning behind his movements. She could truly think he had ulterior motives, that he wanted to do with her what he wanted to do with so many females. "I do not believe that anyone in these lands would turn you away."
He smiled at her comment about him being liked, and he chuckled. "Well, I am liked and disliked. Not everyone around her absolutely likes me. I'm a little outrageous in some areas... But, yes, this is a wonderful place to call home. I am glad that I was raised here."

Ryu'Rage watched him with silver eyes, as he was getting too close she felt the urge to get up and move away as fast as possible. Something was churning within her, she couldn't help it, she wished it had never existed in her, then perhaps she might live in peace, have a home like Ez did. But she had no home, she was offered a place to stay by the great blue god she had met, but that was merely a place to stay. She hadn't even gone there yet, so she still had no home.
To her, home meant everything. Home was where others cared for you, friends were close by. Home was where families were created, life would be born, cubs would prosper, parents would love their cubs and love those like themselves. She wondered if Ez had a family, he had a home, thus she was envious of such a thing. But not in a hateful way of envy, she just wished she could have the same. But to do that, she would need control, and understanding of herself, which she had yet to achieve.
The contact between them made her shiver, close her eyes, she felt a churning in the pit of her being, but then it stopped, she opened her eyes, and everything was fine. Everything was fine? How could that be? The beast did not wish to fight, cause trouble? Perhaps it was exhausted like she was.
"I thank you, for your kindness Ezeoha...you don't know what it means to one such as I," she spoke softly, and laid her head upon her paws. She let one wing fall over his back as she lay beside him. Her mind was not wandering of what he wished he could do with her, she sensed so rage within him, thus believed him harmless, caring, a friend.
Yes, friends.
She wondered how others could deal with her. She was not normal, that was for sure, she was not harmless, that was obvious at times. Though Ez seemed to look over all that, find something in her that she did not know of. It made her wonder. She was glad that he said she probably wouldn't be turned from her. It made her wish for a home even more.
"How one could dislike someone like you is beyond my comprehension, you are only one of very few who have stayed within my sight, gotten even closer, not afraid of what I am." at the statement of that he was raised here, she felt her heart warm slightly. Such a nice place to be when young. She wished she had a home like this when she was a cub.
Perhaps...perhaps then they would've been safe.
"I wished I had a home like this...must be so nice, to have a family here...do you have one Ez?" she asked softly, curiously, raising her silver hues to look at his eyes.
