Okay recent I read Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City and I was curious if anyone else has read the books. Or failign that scene the various Mini Series based on them. (Of which only three of the Six books have been adapted)

The Series deals with life in San Fransisco during the Mid 70's to Late 80's and was originally (the first five books) a serial in a San Fransico Paper. The STories are very true to life since they were written very near the time periods they were chronicling. Atleast as far as character lifestyle. Being a Seriel it did tend to go kind of towards outlandish Soap Operaish plot points at times.

It was one of the Earliest fictional works to include AIDS.
