One of my favorite scriptures is John 1:5 "And the light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it (put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it). I love this because when I was going through times of confusion and fear and questioning what was God and what wasn't, this helped me so much to know that no matter how dark it seems, God is still light in me and the darkness around me can never put that light out.

The Psalms 13
A Prayer for Help in Trouble To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me? 2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; 4 lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. 5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. 6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

My favorite scriptures are..... (sorry if there is alot hehe xd )
Psalm 147:3- He health the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
1 Peter 4:16- Yet if any man suffer as a christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
2 Timothy 2:16- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Romans 12:1 and 2-I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Isaiah 53:5-But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Why I love these verses is self explanatory....

Romans 3:10 No one is righteous, not even one! I could not find a single one! ALL have fallen short of the Glory of God!
I like this one because people are so proud of their "acts of righteousness," like the pharisees. I'm no exception! I'll admit, I too have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God! Thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ!
The only thing is Genesis 5:23-24, and Jesus' descriptions about the righteous not needing to repent; the sick need a doctor, not the healthy, etc. the shepherd going to find that one sheep out of the 99 that were already safe, etc.

Lamentations 3:24 "The Lord is my Portion" says my soul, "Therefore I will hope in him."
I like this one because it says that God is always there, and that if everything else falls out from under me, I can still hope and trust in God.
James 2:19 (I think) "Therefore bretheren, be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger."
lets face it, that's just good advice.
"The Lord is my strength and my song"
Need I say more?

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. -Ephesians 4:32 KJV
I like this verse b/c when I was younger I had a lot of problems forgiving people. I learned this verse when I was around nine and I still use it today b/c I still have trouble forgiving people sometimes.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. -I Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV
I like these verses b/c I believe love should actually be like this.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. -Jeremiah 29:11
I like this verse b/c to me it's like a reminder that God is in control. Sometimes I try to take control and run my life according to what I want and my plans and forget that God has plans of his own for me. I forget that God's plans are better than any of the plans that I could come up with and that they are in my best interest.
I hope I didn't sound dumb with any of that. But it felt like that was what I needed to say.

Heres a few of my favorite.
"My sheep hear my voice and I know them. They follow me and I give them eternal life. They shall never perish and niether shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Fathers hand. I and the Father are one" John 10:27-30
"You have kept track of my every toss and turn through sleepless nights, each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book." Psalm 56:8
"You love him even though you have never seen him. At present you trust him without being able to see him. Though you do not see him, you trust him; and even now you are happy with a glorious, inexpressible joy. Your reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:8-9

Oh! Hey these are great verses! I almost forgot some other verses that I really like. I don't know where they're found, though.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual ferver, serving the Lord.
The fact that Jesus died for my sins and rose again should get some people excited. Why are we sleeping? We get excited about other things like winning the lottery......shouldn't we get excited about Jesus?
The Kingdom of God (or heaven) is within you.
Good news: Jesus lives inside of you, and no matter what you're going through, He'll always be there for you, and nothing could make God love you any less.
Bad news: This means that we have to be patient in suffering and change our perspective on things even when it's hard. God won't do this for us; it's our responsibilty to enjoy life.

"Be still and know that I am God."
Because it makes me slow down and let God take over.

I like Philippians 2:5-11. It's about the humility of Christ, and how we should follow His example. I love it because I suffer from a HUGE head, and have to work continually to be humble.

John 14:1-4
'Do not let yor hearts be troubled. Trust in god; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.'
Basically, trust in God and Jesus and you will have a place in heaven. I love that promise he made to us. It encourages me to know there is always room for me. Read it again and think about how much it promises.

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers" (Psa. 1:1).
Psalm 15
Psalm 51
"I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh'" (Psa. 122:1). Ever since I came across this verse, I enjoyed attending Church.
"Come now, let us reason together," says Yahweh. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool" (Isa. 1:18 ).
"Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon" (Isa. 55:7).
These are just a few of many. I also like the Epistle to the Romans.
