Thank you for the critique, and I apologize beforehand if my reply is a little off center. It's pretty late, 2:49am christmas morning, and I may be kinda tired/crazy. Just a warning.
For one, I'm terribly glad that you like Simony as a character. That's my main goal here. I think I was kinda high on Terry Prachett when I made him up, but he's persisting in my brain soooo... hopefully things will go well. As for his "specialty", I agree there is a lot of hypnotism quests. My problem here is I wanted to show an almost comic darker side to Simony, and I just found that to be the only ability that really worked for me. I wanted to bring something different to the idea, but at the same time be... general? If I can find a way to work it, I will DEFINITELY think of your awesome suggestion, but at the same time if any other would-be hypnotic peoples would want to discuss 'niches' with me, I would be totally cool with that.
