Kayre was in easily the most terrible state in her life. Her fur was unruley, greesey, and matted. Her eyes were droopy and didn't contain the same light they normally did. Her stomache had swelled up to a huge state, with, what Kayre had thought was fat. She had felt sickly and week for the past few weeks, and was hungrier and hungrier, and thought that was why she had her 'significat weight gain'. Kayre was the follower of the God Of Lust, and those who taught her about it seemed to have neglected to mention a rather common side effect of going a bit to far with her Lustyness.
Being in such a state, Kayre did exactly what one would expect her too do. She hid in the shadows of a secluded area of the Temple.

Vulperomes had stayed away from Kayre, or rather, despite attempts to be around her, he hadn't been able to. After their lustful evening she had gone on following her lust god. Once again his fur was cared for perfectly, he distracted himself with grooming, but was now wandering aimlessly through the temple. He already had it and the grounds outside memorized.
Suddenly he noticed something. A malu in the shadows. Blinking his looked closer. Could it be? No, that couldn't possibly be Kayre. She was enormous, and her fur was matted and even her eyes had lost that amazing luster to them. Even in this stage though, his empty heart beat faster, more hopefully. He walked toward her and noticed something about her largeness. Tears came to his eyes.
"Kayre, love, why didn't you tell me?" He asked, slowly walking toward her, love and hope shining in his eyes. He temporarily forgot about Citrine, and their soon to be litter of pups.

Kayre saw someone coming in the distance. She trided to move back, father into the shadows, closer to the well but couldnt. His fur caught the light beautifully. Oh no... it couldn't be. Please don't let it be him. The figure moved closer. Just her luck... it was him.
He had seen her, and now was standing right there.He looked just as amazing as always, and kayre felt like she should roll over and die. Here she was, looking terrble, and here he stood. She hadn't wanted to see him ever again...she had wanted to move on from the ruins of what her life had been, to be back how it was before. But it seemed like everything always came back to haunt her. And now here He was, looking at her with pity on his face.
"Leave... me alone" she whimpered, tears going down her eyes. "What should I tell you? Why do you have a right to know that I have been in such a terrible state? What, should I seek you out and tell you I'm fat or someting?" she growled, trying to look threatening. But really... failed.

Fat? He blinked, she thought she was just fat? No, there's no way she could -not- know that she was pregnant. Oh, that's right, she didn't want babies... and he had gotten her pregnant... she probably hated him. He looked shamed.
"Kayre, look, I know you don't want them." He started, then moved closer to her. Even in this state he still saw the beautiful malu that she was, spurred on my nature telling him she was the mother of his children, "I can take care of them, you'll never have to see them again if you don't want them... just don't do something you might regret." He worried.
Some mothers in the forest actually killed the children if they were unable to take care of them. Some even did it if they just chose to not recognize them as their own. He had almost been one of those, and had promised to never let the same happen to his own. He already had four or five on the way with Citrine... and Kayre looked like she was at the same capacity.
"Darling, I'm sorry. But please, don't hurt the pups." He pleaded.

Kayre watched him look upset. She figured that it was because his little female to mess around with wasn't so attractive anymore. boo-hoo. Maybe he would leave her alone now.
"WHAT in the world are you blathering on about? I can certainly take care of myself with out any of YOUR help" spat Kayre, heaving herself up with some difficulty. She didn't take on pregnancy well, particularly with the five pups she was having.
"Pups?" she asked, freezing, and looking down at her self. No... no. She could NOT be pregnent. Kayre knew how pregnancy worked...but she thought that it only happened when they WANTED the pups. She didn't want them. She hadn't even thought she COULD get pregnent.
"Wha...what...the....what are you talking about" she said, her eyes wide with fear.

Vulperomes looked up at Kayre in shock, "You... don't know." He stood and looked nervous. He wondered if she would be happy that the 'fat' would go away, or be freaked out that she was having babies...
"Ah, let's see." He felt like a dad giving a lecture to the daughter, which made it even more awkward considering he had, you know, with her, "Well, sometimes when a male and a female... ah, do what we did..." God this was harder than it should be, "Ah, sometimes babies come from that. It's not predictable as far as we know." He shifted awkwardly.
"So... you're not fat. You're just pregnant. With about five pups." He forced a smile, "But like I said, if you don't want anything to do with them, I can raise them." He offered. He really hoped she wouldn't abandon them to fend for themselves.

Kayre began to breath heavily. This was NOT suppost to happen. This was...not. Things had been terrible. Her heart was shattered, her life falling appart, now...this?
Her eyes widdened as he explained things to her. 'You.... you KNEW this could happen!" she suddenly screamed, feeling much more formitable then she felt before. "And you...OH my GOD." she said, laushing out with the anger that easily overtook females in her state.
The only bright side to this was that she wasn't fat. But that didn't make up for the fact that she was going to have pups. And now just one, or two. FIVE. Five little reminders of how terrible Vulperomes was to her. But still...would she want HIM to raise them to be just like him?
"No...I...don't want them to be raised by you. I will do it" she said, calmer, but feeling dissy. She collapsed down. "I don't want them to know you"

He felt like he had been hit. She was angry at him, as though this was all his fault. And now she wanted him to have nothing to do with the pups. His pups! His family! -He- had been the one to want to start a family, to continue his line, she didn't even want them! But to spite him she told him that she's rather have them never know their own father than have him help raise a family.
Then Citrine's condition came crashing back in on him. Could he really raise ten pups? Even with the help of the two mothers. Then, what is Kayre found out about Citrine, or vice versa. For sure there were be a lot of unwanted drama. He sat down, in a state of shock.
"Kayre... I thought you knew. I'm sorry! If I knew you didn't, then I would have explained it to you." He moved closer to her, slowly. Citrine had been moody too, but nothing like Kayre right now. "Please Kayre, they're mine too, I want to help you. There's five of them, you'll need help with them. Most of all, they'll need a father that will provide. You can't leave them alone to scavenge while they're depedant on your for milk, with tiny eyes closed, alone and helpless." He ears pressed back sadly, thinking about his babies in that state.
"I promise I'll never do this to you again, but please, don't shatter our pup's homes because you hate me. I promise I'll never push anything on you again, but they need a family, not an angry mother and unknown father." His eyes actually watered up at the thought of a broken home, it would be his fault that his pups suffered so, and he couldn't live with that. Even if she said no, he would find a way.

Kayre saw his face turn into fear and anger. He had wanted these pups, obviously. But she was the one that had carried them up to this point. He hadn't helped her with the pregnency. He didn't even care about her anymore. He just cared about the pups.
"If I knew... I never would have" she stammered, trying not to look him in the eye. "I don't WANT pups..." she turned her back to him, and slowly walked a few steps in the other direction. "I don't care what you say, I can take care of it on my own. It's not like I need alot of food, I can fish in the pond with them on my side...i don't need you"
She watched him beg, plead to be part of his children's life. But Kayre didn't want it. She was already starting to have a maternal feel for these...things growing inside her. She felt like...if Vulperomes was there, he would be a bad influence. He would make them like he was. She didn't want him to be like he was.
Of course, She didn't want them to be like herself, either.

Vulperomes watched his first love walk out of his life. There was probably good reason why he had never cared about a female before. Well, there was a good reason. It was because they walked away. They dubbed him as a "bad father" and left him.
Well he wouldn't let the pups suffer because she was being spiteful. He didn't care what she thought, he was going to be a part of the babies lives... even if she didn't know about it. He was a thief for crying out loud! He could be a shadow if he wanted to!
Still, he hoped that someday she would be able to forgive him.

Kayre moved father away from him. She didn't regret her desision to take away his privilages as a father. She never wanted these babies, but they were certainly coming. Kayre was not the motherly type, but she felt a hate torwards Vulperomes that made her fear for her babies.
She knew how he had trated her that night when this had happened. She remembered the anger, the light gone from his eyes, a side of him she knew very few had seen. Kayre didn't want this to be her pups. They would never need to know the drama that had happened before their birth. They would have a normal life, even if they never knew their father.
Or so she thought.
