Story:
It's said in the shining utopia that is Eastern Numa Numa Land, there rests a castle made of pure pocky and snowly chocolate. A castle so large that it glistens in the light and seems to glow in the darkness, a castle so large that when you take one step into it you can hear your footsteps echo for ages on the marzapan floors that glisten like goldleaf in the offlight of the amber molasass lamps. It's within these hollowed walls that it's claimed for there to be a curse of such a magnitude that even those of the castle itself rarely speak of the name or of what it is. A curse so horrible that only one out of every other generation posesses it within their body, only one out of every other generation must suffer for the sins of their family. Of a family who's lineage is steeped in so much dissarray that only one thing could fix it...
From far away a hope came to fix it. It seemed that there had been a strange new evolution of the Swedish Fish, so strange that it was thought to be the good luck omen of a lifetime. They grew in size and changed in body, no longer flat but wider as well. Their colors changed and their fins grew feathery and beautiful to look at, almost transluscent. It was these new fish that were making a revolution througout the world of Numa Numa and they were called Swedish Fighting Fish for their violent natures, even though they were gorgeous. They would rip each other to shreds if they were put in the same tanks as each other, so they were no longer wild, no longer able to be together unless the females were put together in pairs with a male.
It was these beautiful and good luck bringing fish that caught the families eyes. The ruler of the castle caught wind of these majestic fish and immediatly bought four, a male and a trio of beautiful females, all of different color. Rather than dilude their colors, the ruler put them into a large sugar glass tank filled with cream soda so it showed their gorgeous bodies. He believed that the fish would bring them good luck and because of the well known curse he put them on displayso that all the kingdom below could see them. The numa king wanted them to bring his family such luck, however....
On a bright morning one day, the ruler walked out to peer at his fish and be calmed by their beauty and calm motions. However when he came to a stop before the tank he froze, for floating at the top in a manner that shouldn't have been, was the lone male. His once majestic fins torn and his gills gouged out. His eyes glassed over and large scars marring his once beautifully colored gummy scales. The male was slaughtered by the three female fish, killed mercilessly in the night when none were around.
Horrified and appaled that the most gorgeous of his four fish was killed, that his only male was slaughtered, the ruler immediatly leapt into action and removed him without telling anyone. He didn't want his kingdom to discover that the luck they'd been hoping for might be in jeopardy, for his family to find that the curse might have killed their only hope. So he hid it and told them that he'd simply returned it for a more beautiful male, while in reality he'd buried the fish deep beneath the castle's minty ground. Hoping that none would ever come to find, assuming that none ever would.
But the fish knew. In his anger at not being mourned and his knowledge of the curse that had plauged the family, the fish decided to strike back and force them to remember him. When the family was blessed with a new set of feathers, the fish's spirit leached up from the depths below and watched, waiting to see which of the family would suit his purposes the greatest. And it just happened to be the purple male feather, the only male that was blessed upon the family. The fish wrapped itself around the feather and cursed it for life, made it so that the male was him and he was the male.
As they grew, they morphed to become something completely different. Instead of looking like the rest of his siblings, the male was see through and his wings were huge and feathery like the tail of the fish had been. His colors became more pastel-like and his eyes grew darker and darker. Despite his differences he could swim just like any other male only much faster, like he was built to spend his whole life in the water. Just as the fish had.
However, one thing was so drastic in him that his family was appaled. The male HATED females with such a passion that he would even stay away from his sisters and attack them when they came towards him. No matter what his family said or did he would even lash out at his mother, fur on end and wings spread out wide in anger. It was the fish's hatred of the females that killed him and ate him alive that kept him from welcoming another female.
It was this that made him leave and run to the center world of the numa land, far away from the eastern kingdom where his family lived. Far away from the castle that rose to the sky where fish were worshiped. Far away... until such a time where he could get his revenge... then it would all end at last.
