Eilis smiled slightly as she turned to the wolf. "It is okay I understand, sometimes when I hear music I feel as if im flying and running free I always dream of things I want."Eilis heard a voice in her head singing to her. A low humming that seemed to go with the violin.

"I cannot give you much Eilis, but I can teach you how to play so that when I'm not here you can play an instrument to yourself...How does that sound?" Blackfeather said as she looked at the child.

Eilis turned at the question. "But what if Im not capable of learning it?" Eilis felt a pain in her heart. "Whenever I think of something I think is pretty, either to eyes or ears. I feel a void in me that shakes and cries." Eilis turned to her. "Is that odd or weird for a part of you to cry and supposodly die?"

Blackfeather looked at her and took off her shirt. She had a black tanktop under it and she showed Eilis her body. It was filled with scars and most seemed deep and painful. She put her shirt back on and once more looked at Eilis.
"Music to me is what keeps me alive...what keeps my heart from feeling the pain of rejection. As you saw I am scard...because to my people I am different. I am nothing but a halfling. They beat me till the cuts no longer stung and the bruises no longer throbbed. When they killed my cats one after the other...I learned about death. I even became an assain and killed. No longer do I feel emotional or physical pain...That innocent girl so many years ago...she is gone. And in her place is me... But when I play the child returns and she...is happy." Blackfeather said and got up.
She reached her hand into a rift she had created. She pulled out a beautifully made Violin and handed it to Eilis.

"Well, there's no way to know if you can learn unless you try. When I was a pup, I feared I'd never learn how to use my clumsy wings. I had no one to teach me, but I kept at it....and learned," Sakren said. ~Immortality. I would not like it. Nothing to look forward to. No full rest, or complete peace to find. Just everlasting life...that goes on...and on...and to some, it's a miserable life~ he thought.

Eilis looked at the grass blowing in the wind at her feet. For a second it felt as the world had drifted in that single swift breeze. Her breath caught as she felt a warm body wrap around her. It was gentle and kind and assured her. She smiled and accepted the violin. She held it as if it would snap and blow away like the rose petels. She smiled and held it as she waited for her further explanaiton.

Sakren watched with a smile on his face. He was glad that she was willing to try. He knew she could do it, so he waited patiently.
