I have yet to have any problems with my Wii. But I'm not swinging my arms like a mad woman trying to actually hit something really hard. I also keep a firm grip on my wiimote and nunchuck.

I've never had a problem with losing control/letting go of the Wiimote. There is a strap there for a reason, which they are also redesigning to be sturdier, in order to hold up to the kind of stress it's apparently getting. The only problem I run into with the strap is forgetting it's there, so I'll pass the Wiimote to my other hand, and reach for something and then Whoops! the Wiimote's goin' all over the place. It's a little humorous.
But I love the Wii.

First of all....isn't the remote there for you to hold onto it? Not to swing around. How hard do they swing it, geez. XD

I personally don't think it'd be a problem. The Wii works just fine with small motions and it doesn't look all that hard to grip I want a Wii SOOO bad!!!!!!!! >_<

You also have to calculate that the Wii is Japanese made. Therefore the Japanese are far more careful with their electronics. Whereas americans will just murder them, by being rambunctious. Which in any case proves how stupid we americans handle our goods. That is the only reason they have to re-design the strap. Is because we don't respect the console we throw it around like morons.

You know if your like me I really get into things if I'm doing them I mean not like a normal game with a regular controller but when I'm doing something that actually involves movement and then there the whole thing about never having to worry about my controller flying out of my hand so there wasn't a very tight grip

Bramwolf Yeah, my fiance and I just bought a new 32 inch flatscreen TV and when he saw all the news about it he looked at me and said we're not buying a Wii. I can't hardly blame him, I'd be Utterly afraid of using it. Problem is, when you get into a game it's hard to remember to ease off. Ha that's funny, that's what my brother said! blaugh

I played the Wii for a little big last night (my sister borrowed it from a friend for my birthday so I could play the new Zelda game), and I never had that problem. However, the Wii was still dangerous to my health. When my sister played it she sat in a chair and I was on the floor. Occasionally she would get a little too enthusiastic in her swings and almost gave me a concussion several times. sweatdrop
Off Topic: Her boyfriend is a 12 year old in a 21 year old body. He couldn't get enough "did you like playing with "insert name here"'s Wii?" and other such jokes.

It all just sounds like people wanting an excuse to break expensive TVs and get compensation off Nintendo.

Hmm, I play at my friend's house cause I'm not allowed to buy one yet.. not that I can even find one anywhere.
Anyways, he got me into the boxing.
No trouble at all holding onto the wiimote. The nunchuck however did.. while attempting to get the last few punches in on the oppenent (i was against the computer) I guess I twisted, rolled to the side and then tried to punch, catching my elbow on the wire, causing the nunchuck to slip from my hand and go flying. A mad scramble ensued as I tried to keep my guard up while making grabs for the dangling nunchuck, that was thankfully still attached.

Same goes for my male friends and since I'm the only female to hang with them I got all then "Hey Bryanne wanna play with our Wii's?"
