P.S. - When you get the Masamune from beating Gilgamesh (remember to steal all the Genji armor from him) give it to Basch with the Genji Armlet. Ultimate pwnage.

Bloody hell, I've had him with me for a long a** time.

And what level should I be before going for Gilgamesh?

My friend tells me he's a b***h.

Lowers your exp by atleast a third.

I beat Gilgamesh at level 44, but I had the Zodiac Spear.
And he was still a b***h.
The first fight is easy, but after you go through site 11 and all that its hard as s**t.
If you haven't started the Phon Coast Hunters sidequest it'll be a bit easier. Otherwise there is a level 66 Zombie mark called "Dallia" or something down there and he will eat your party alive.

I just got Balthier and Fran on my team.
So pretty early in the game still, but I do love the frequent FMV scenes. heart
