Hi guys sorry I haven't been on lately, lost the net at my house and my sisters house so now I can only get on at the library. Anywho I was checking my e-mail and I got this e-mail from "Mike Reiter": Quote: Hi. I came across your profile on a Web search that began as research about discrimination against fat people and ended up with the phenomenon of "gaining" which obviously attracts a lot of people despite the disadvantages and prejudices associated with being fat in this society. (I've been thinking that the subject would make for an interesting newspaper or magazine article -- even a book -- if sensitively handled.) If you have a moment, I wonder if you would mind answering a few questions. When did the idea of gaining weight begin to appeal to you? How soon did you act on it? Did your family/doctors/teachers try to dissuade you? What is the heaviest you have been? What would you say to a parent whose child was determined to put on a lot of weight? Feel free to reply if you would like to. In any case, thanks for reading this. Mike Did anyone else get an e-mail like this? Should I reply back to him or no?

I mean it seems pretty professional and genuine. I've never recieved an e-mail like that, but I mean what harm would it do to the answer the questions? I would think it would come down to a matter of personal preference. I think I'd answer it if I got it in an e-mail.

I personally wouldn't because I don't like strangers coming out of nowhere asking personal questions, but if you don't have a problem sharing that information to him, then go for it.

I would say go for it. I'm the type of person to not really care what people think or know about me unless it is tracable information. I'm highly likely to say something like "What the heck...sure..." But then again...I get into trouble doing that all of the time. sweatdrop

Check the return adress carefully, and proceed with caution.
