DeArca nodded and then put the quill in his pack. "Thank you so much, Valelldia" He smiled, standing, and looked down. "Ash! Come on, we need to go" He said and Ash giggled, crawling around on the floor playfully. "Ash, its rude to keep doing that when asked not to" He reached down to get him but Ash crawled in between Valelldia's legs, hiding under her dress, laughing. "Ash! That's not a place to hide....Valelldia, I'm so sorry he's doing this" He said

Rojiza makes her way to Valelldia's wagon. She hopes the gypsy mother isn't busy. She's so confused! With Vahe right behind her, she knocks on the door softly. Taking out her pad and charcoal, she contemplates what to write to communicate her problem.

Val opened the door solemnly, and smiled ear to ear when she saw that it was Ro. "Well brought my friend. Coming inside?" She swung the door open for the squirrel girl.

Rojiza jumps and drops her pad and charcoal when Valelldia opens the door. She'd never spoken directly with her before. Smiling nervously, she nods and picks up her things and follows the dark gypsy inside. She sits down and scribbles hastily in her notebook: Taniel the Banya master has gone missing. I've been visiting every day, and taking care of them, they get lonely you know. But Tamlin the short red-haired one came by today to visit them as well and I just got this odd feeling in my heart, like it was pulling at my soul, and I just knew that the Banya, the one I was looking at anyway, it was brown with red and black bits, had to go with her! It scared me, I've never felt so much purpose before...what's happening to me? She hands the pad to Valelldia and then wrings her hands in her skirt.

Valelldia waited with the utmost patience as Ro scribbled out what she had to say. The gypsy woman had a feeling that she knew what was going to be written on the paper once it was handed to her, but she also knew that it was important to let the girl ask the questions before they were answered. Taking the finished paper from Ro, Val read it through once and smiled, then read it again to commit it all to memory.
"I have noticed that you were watching the Banya in Taniel's absence. To be honest with you... if I may... I don't see Taniel returning to us anytime soon. He has other business at hand that he must take care of. It's not a thing that I would have wanted, but the life of a gypsy..." She faltered slightly, something personal tugging at the back of her mind. "We come and go. I'm very happy though that the banya have had someone to watch over them, and even more delighted to hear that you're feeling a personal connection to the animals. They need that to become fortune creatures, and family members." She looked up at Ro with a smile. "Did you give the creature in question to Tamlin?" An honest question.

Rojiza nods as she listens to the woman, then takes her pad back and writes more again. Of course I gave it to her...what else could I do? The bird obviously wanted to go with her... She thinks hard about what Valelldia's words mean. Taniel....not coming back?

Valelldia grinned at her. "I think you did the right thing... I know you did the right thing." She glanced at the pad once more, and decided not to let the squirrel girl ask the questions that were obviously on her mind, before presenting her with the real issue at hand. She passed the pad back to Ro, but started speaking at the same time so the girl wouldn't write down questions about Taniel.
"I have a question for you. Multiple questions actually. We are in need of someone to watch our aviary it would seem..." Val faltered slightly again as her vision was drawn to the blue Banya that had entered with Ro. Taniel's favourite she recalled... there was something strange about the bird it seemed. Val got the impression that not only was the bird watching the conversation, but that it wanted to say something of it's own... it just didn't know how. She'd have to do some scying over the bird's future later in the evening, but for right now....
She pryed her eyes off Vahe, and smiled back over to Ro. "With Taniel gone, and you left I see no better candidate for the job than you, but I want you to know that I'm only offering. I don't expect you to take it, so you don't have to if you don't want to. And even then there's plenty of time to think it over." Vahe had hopped closer to Ro during the speech, and Val's eyes flitted to him again as he fluffed up once and then calmed.

Rojiza's answer is immediate and sure. She scribbles hastily on the pad again: I'd love to watch over the Banyas...I care for them so much, and I feel they understand me....they can't speak either, unless the Meij intervenes. She's still waiting for that intervention herself. The more complete reason she was so quick to take on this new responsibility is that in addition to caring deeply for the Banya, she doesn't think anyone could take care of them as well as she could. As an afterthought, she adds to the message on her pad: Does this mean I'll get more of those feelings...? Like with Tamlin...will I give Banya to others the same way?

Val nodded. "As strongly as you can imagine. I'd say you have as much potential as Taniel ever did, and I can't think of anyone more qualified."
She stood and picked up a feather that Vahe had shed onto the floor in his huffiness. "I can hace someone else drive the wagon if you like, but I would also like to entrust that to you."

I know how to drive a wagon, writes Ro. Nearly everyone else has their own wagon to tend to, anyway. She feels slightly more cheerful now that she's getting things sorted out and explained. She gives Vahe an affectionate stroke. What happens to Vahe...? He belonged to Taniel, why didn't he go with him?

Val stuffed the feather into a cubby on a back shelf, and then glanced uneasily at Vahe. "It looks to me, like he's your bird. At least for the time being." Then she turned away and sat again. "As for why he didn't go with Taniel..." She shrugged. "Taniel may yet call for the creature, who knows."

Rojiza nods. I'll take good care of him. Thank you for your time, Valelldia... She passes the pad to Val and stands, dropping a polite little curtsy.

Valelldia While everyone is busy with the town's festivities, Valelldia steps outside and tacks a parchment to her wagon door:
A Notice I'm so glad everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and partaking in Roiagrada's hospitality. We'll be moving on soon, and there's a few favors I need done.
~I seem to be in need of a headache draught. This may require you to spend your own couplets. I'll reward you with a tarot reading if you can procure one for me.
~My wagon picked up a pack of muckfaes during the river crossing and they are slowing my progress considerably. If you can clear them out for me, I'll reward you with 20 couplets.
~Finally, I feel that the caravan has become knitted into small groups. In order to open this relationship back up, I want every person to meet someone new.
She nods to herself and then takes another, smaller piece of parchment from her skirt, and walks across the wagon circle to Mossy Charm and tacks it on the door:
Tamlin-- Please pay me a visit when you've the time, and bring Alais with you. Valelldia((To claim a favor, post in Val's wagon saying you've claimed it. Only one person can do the headache draught favor, and one or two people (if you want to work in a pair) can do the muckfae favor. ANYONE can do the meet someone new favor. Make a separate thread in the guild for it, and it must be at least 2 pages long to count. Please link this thread when you post in Val's wagon. The reward for this is special and worth your time. >3))
