"Eep!" There it was, the cursed peep, a chirp like a Warner Brothers stock sound effect. The annoying reflex was unable to be stifled once this startled patient screeched and hid behind her friend for cover before NC's own eyes. "Oookaaaaay," she marvelled slowly, eyebrows practically up to her hairline in surprise. "Ummm, yeah. Let's not get too excitable now," she uttered to the two visible girls. "New in-patient here, and I expect I won't be staying long." The words came in a tone both deferential - because if NC had been here half a day, by definition these two were more established. Perhaps "sempai" wasn't quite the right relationship to perceive them as, in such a setting, but... She nodded their way, because who wouldn't feel territorial about a place that had become their home? - deferential, plus haughty. After all, the twenty-something in black was just FINE whereas these two, who knew whether they had been committed for years hopelessly?
Not only were her gestures hampered by having both arms strongly occupied, a quick glance around showed no authorities to help or hinder, so the new subject made use of the table nearby to place her burden, and began laying out one steaming silver-plated kettle and ivory-colored plate and place setting after another.

Lexiel was shocked at first when Autumn had jumped behind her, but soon recognized the smell of the warm brewed spices and herbs and had followed the lady who made the weird peeping noise to the table to help her unload the dishes and treats from the tray.
"Wow!, These look delicious!" She said, almost drooling from the smell. She looked at the woman who claimed she didn't belong here and stuck out a small hand after all the dishes were off the trays and onto the tables.
"Hi, my names Lexiel, and this is Autumn," She said glancing at her friend who still cautiously stood behind her examining the newcomer. "Whats yours?" She asked, still holding out her hand for a shake.

The help removing all the consumable delights was warmly received, as evidenced by many averted glances while this Lexiel helped set up. At being offered a hand the somewhat surprised woman perked so much that she could have been standing a foot taller, quite a larger-than-life effect for such a little icebreaker.
Her hand swung around with the slap of a high five, even if it was technically from the side, and modified at the very end into the more traditional and formal greeting. "The full thing's a hassle so just say NC. Easy to remember like NC-17." Connotations aside she seemed to disregard the phrase with the tone of having gone through many repetitions. She sent Lexiel a bright eyed smile then tilted sideways a bit to get a better look at Autumn before relenting and taking a seat in one of the folded wooden chairs. Nevertheless her head bobbed relentlessly and her hand quietly tapped an energetic beat upon the table's edge and its soft muffling linen. "I've got to say, nothing here is like what I expected. Not the rooms, not the beautiful outdoors they take care of, not sending us outside for something like this. How do you two find it?" Certainly these two seemed perfectly reasonable at first impression, and - aside from the one's tendency of hiding - the spiky blonde couldn't imagine anyone like these being 'put away'. Nevertheless, rather than cracking into background with who-knows-what that could be set off, inquiring as to whether they were well-treated seemed safe enough... (( And also good opportunity to break the news about imaginary friends, if you're so inclined. It'll make for a big "I told you so" smirk later once NC is part of the little clubhouse. ^_< ))

"I find it to be a lovely place." She said looking wishfully at the tarts that were aligned so neatly on the plate that she had just set on the table. She so wished to just pick one up and take a bite of it but she kept her manners in mind and dared not to touch one till the one she was talking with also did so. "Mind you though, I've only been here once before today, and I, not knowing much about it, other then the fact that I'm institutionalized here like the rest of you, can't make a proper judgment of it, seeing as I've not much to judge it upon." She smiled sweetly at the woman who took a seat and she too decided to pull up a chair and as she sat herself down lightly and smoothed out her skirts, the aroma of the tarts once again delighting her taste buds and her stomach gurgling impatiently for them to begin.
"Excuse me," Lexiel said a little bit embarrassed, "It seems my stomach is more eager to begin then I am, I'm afraid. As for the medicine here that they make you take, I'm not all quite sure of the effects, but I must say, it's not the tastiest of things that I've ever had to take, but I do take it as prescribed. And you?" She asks, leaning forward. "What of your medicine? Is it quite easy to take?" She asked, her blue eyes shining curiously. "Mine I can only take with tea and after that I'm afraid I can't eat or drink much of anything, for if I do I'll surely be sick a few hours after. I had to figure that out the hard way I'm afraid." She looked solemn now resting up against the back of the seat, arms folded neatly in her lap.
