Something was different. Always the early riser, Ceri was the first one to wake up the morning after the confrontation with Kefka. Despite how she normally lacked observation skills, she could tell immediately something was different without even opening her eyes. One indication was how much smaller her cat plush felt tucked in her arm; another was how she was positioned oddly on the bed, with her head off the pillow and settled uncomfortably near the wall. Without another moment's hesitation, the day thule sat up and found she was looking from a higher point.

"Ah!" she squeaked, feeling dizzy from sitting up so fast and grasping at the blanket to steady herself. The sound was enough to rouse the occupant of the top bunk, who was not positioned so uncomfortably. Myze lay still on her bed for a moment with her eyes closed, feeling air on her lower half. Her blanket, obviously, was no longer covering her entire body. Her eyes fluttered open and a clawed hand was drawn before them.

"Myze?" Ceri asked, clinging to the sheets until she felt stable again, "Are you bigger too?" Even though you don't hear your own voice exactly how everyone else hears it, Ceri could tell there was even a slight change in it.

"Yes," Myze answered calmly, sitting up in her bed and looking at her starry blanket as it fell from her arms. Her own voice had changed more noticeably; it had less of a childish quality that was still in Ceri's voice. The night thule looked back at the pillow longingly, wanting to go back to sleep and avoid the day but she heard Ceri scrambling from the bed beneath her and she stayed sitting up.

"Wow," Ceri squeaked loudly, realizing that she was now at least a foot taller than before. She made an effort to climb up the ladder to get a look at Myze, fluttering her wings in the usual way she kept her balance only to find they helped propel her forward this time. She stopped on the ladder when she got a look at Myze and then she just stared. "You're a lot taller," she observed, noticing how Myze was leaner, less childlike.

"You too," Myze informed her twin.

"Let's go show 'avi!" Ceri exclaimed, stumbling her way back down the ladder and onto the floor, only to trip over her own feet. With a thud she landed on the floor, but quickly brushed it off. Myze watched her from the top bunk, rolling her eyes. Clearly Ceri had put aside the previous day's events for the time being. With a sigh, she too climbed down the ladder and helped Ceri up so they could go see Ecavi.
